Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Oh great! Thank you so much! I don't have the HD version of this yet.

Actually it's not in HD. Sorry. :)
My file is in HD but vimeo allows me to upload 1 HD video per week, only, and that went with V&M video.

World Figure Skating 65 is released.

One article interested me was what Keiji Tanaka said at the Yukata party this summer, where Yuzuru, Ryuju, and himself had joined together.

"When getting tired, Yuzuru becomes hyper and most noisy of the three. Ryuju is always flat and calm. I myself become depressed."

When Yuzuru is too talkative, it might be a sign of fatigue

14/09/14 tv show-- what did yuzuru said to himself in free skate at the olympics?

As other bloggers say, and I think the same, the last words are surely "Olympic-da !" - It's (really) Olympics !

We are sure the professional lip-readers have made a mistake

CDJapan had finally listed YUZURU photobook - http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOBK-1716094

Now people (like me) who waited for it can finally place preorder

Hanyu is extraordinary, but also just a teen.
Gaming, listening to music and sleeping. That's what he says he does if/when he has a day off. --But mostly gaming.
He said he did about 320 hours on his last monster hunt game console. He is obviously not just doing this for the advertisement, but because he really likes to game!

During the photo-shoot when they had him hold the stick, he said that he really likes this, as when he was a child, he'd hold a vacuum cleaner pipe end and pretend it was a sword.

He was asking lots of questions about the monsters, but they weren't allowed the information yet. It was a secret.
He said being able to play the game before the release was really great!

At one point he says "This is absolutely impossible!" I couldn't help but laugh in sympathy--I know that feeling too well...
And see? Video games help him with his timing for jumps-- they're totally educational!

haha!! Thanks for posting the CM clip and translation!! The video has already had more then 20.500 views in 24 hours

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6Ma_hGLYiQ ( longer version)!

By the way, what a little surprised me is the chief producer of Monster Hunt series, Ryozo Tsujimoto (辻本良三) hosted Yuzu all the process and made an interview by himself.

interview: http://youtu.be/d6Ma_hGLYiQ?t=1m26s

For a leader of game creation, it should be excited to meet a heavy game player and gets responses directly for his game development. No wonder some tweeters said Yuzu was not to shoot advertising, but to participate in MH fan meeting.

Find an interesting thing!

Yuzu named his two Airu, the character cat in MH4G, with jumps of figure skating. One is "Salchow", another is "Toe loop"! So coincide with his profession.

newsCapcom kicked off MH4G and Yuzu's Airu CM at Tokyo Game Show today.

Until now, I find Yuzu was shooting CM as a single player version. There is another 15 sec CM for multiplayer version.

Kensuke Nakaniwa (retired in 2011, currently a coach)

"As a matter of fact, Keiji (Tanaka), Kento (Nakamura), Ryuichi (Kihara) and I have established "Mon-Han Bu" - Monster Hunter Club (laughs).
Although I'm a low-level agent, they call me "Taicho" - Captain. Every time we get together, these four keep playing the Monster Hunter. Actually, Yuzuru is a member too, but still a tentative member (laughs). I hope Mon-Han Bu will stay active in the future!"

It seems he was still an apprentice in 2012

I don't know if there is already is a video on youtube or other sites, but I uploaded Hanyu's exhibiton program in Sochi2014:

Here's a clip from Suporuto regarding Time of Awakening. They've shown a small part of the DVD/Blu-Ray where Yuzu was reading BOrser's email before his practice. Personally, I really like that part. I like the way he sigh in a high pitch. Another part I really like is the Tracy Yuzu training moment with Yuzu's broken English.

Actually, I LOVE watching the entire DVD/Blu-Ray! It's soooo HD that it pops! You know what I mean?? ;)

:agree:

Hanyu-kun's DVD, "Time of Awaikening". This is the first time an athelete's DVD has marked the No. 1 sales.
The comment of the creator of DVD. "There is almost no voice other than that of Hanyu sensyu."

Point 1: Almost no narration or comment, except Hanyu sensyu's voice.

"Hwww... Taihendaaa.... (It's so demanding...) :o:

Point 2: Expressing his development as an athlete straight by his own voice.

"The first quad is very important after all."

Point 3: Information of competitions is presented only in writing, so that his real voice before and after the performance stands out more.

Woman in her fifties:
"I felt like I was really close to him"

"Oh, that's working as they intended (laughs)"

"The taste of the creator is excellent too."

"That's true."

"It's really great. (Japan's) First men's figure skating Olympic gold medalist."

"But he did not appear in TV variety show or the like in his off season."

"No, he didn't. Oh, it may be because "he" does a lot."

"Oh, Oda-kun, Oda Nobunari kun!"

" He is always asked at the beginning of the show whether he would cry again."

"He says - "I would not cry any more!"

"Usually, OGM like him (Yuzuru) receives so many requests to show up, but he restrained it and concentrated on skating."

"Yes. I want to give him another gold medal beside the competition."

"You can say that again."

It is said that Yuzuru has withdrawed from Finlandia Trophy due to bad condition.....however, it is not yet officially confirmed....but his name is no longer in the entry list in website

What?!? I am so shocked. I hope he is okay…
I am afraid he may get injury otherwise he will not choose not to compete.....
He had slightly injury in 2012 and still went to the competition...
I am so worried what happened to him now ....

You are welcome, guys :)

I like this short segment of the program "Sporto" hosted by Tsutomu Sekine.
In any case, this is "short" enough to make me try translation

I want to try the translation of the interview of Yuzuru in World Figure Skating 65. It's very interesting, but it's looooong

I will try it inch by inch, hoping someone quicker than me will upload it somewhere soon.

By the way, I love Yuzuru's very casual way of speaking we can hear in the Monster Hunter CM.

Yosshaaa!!! Notta!! (Yoshi, Notta. - Great, I'm on (the monster?))
(He said "Yosshaa" too at K&C when he got the point over 100 for his SP at Sochi. I read his lips  )

Edit: What!? Withdrawal!? Nothing serious, please

Officially announcement:

We regret to inform you, that Yuzuru Hanyu from Japan has withdrawn from the competition due to the advice from his physician. We have a message from Mr. Hanyu:

"I was competing this event every year, and I always take this
opportunity very important as the first official event of the season.
However, consider the long season, I regretfully decided not to take
risks and decline my participation. I would like to express my heartfelt
sorrow that I cannot skate at my favourite country, and miss many of the figure skating fans. I will give my word that I will do my best and skate once again in Finland at near future!"
