Personally, I think he still lacks a little bit of stamina, because if you look at his close-to-ideal free skate in Barcelona, you can see that he got all the elements perfectly but fell on the last one because of fatigue. He was too tired. Even though prepared really well at the moment.

It’s surprising Yuzu had his best FS TES ever in Barcelona ,just one month after COC accident and two weeks after NHK competition , where he wasn’t clearly in control of his body and of his mind.

What happened in the two weeks of training between NHK and Barcelona is still a mystery to me. The fact is he was really able to come back from hell. just a Yuzu's miracle.

I would dare to say Yuzu 's come back was exceptional, really umbelievable , because it was not only a recovery , it was the best FS TES ever...

unfortunately not even a real recovery, he had surgery 20 days later.. Yuzu is a mystery!

“Hello to the elementary and junior high school children in Miyagi prefecture. This is Hanyu Yuzuru.

I don't think he lacks core strength. He can't jump quads with such height and distance if he doesn't has core strength. I don't think his stamina is very weak either. His layout in the past three season had always been the most demanding layout in the men's field and he managed to execute his layout by the end of each season. I don't see other male skaters who look stronger than him attempting his layouts with much success. I think his stamina is on par with other male skaters.

His new FP layout is very demanding for any skater. But I think it's doable if he steadily improves his stamina over the season. I do think he has strong self-awareness of his own abilities. He wouldn't plan a layout that he believes he has no chance to execute it.

I wonder if his boyish look and small frame give people the impression that he is physically weak and fragile. He is much stronger than he looks. His look is very deceptive. If he has a lot of muscles like Javier and has a bigger build, would people worry about him attempting 3 quads?

I agree, even the British ES commentators said he has a lot of core strength. The Dataman analysis also said that to maintain that body angle when landing his jumps meant he has very excellent core muscles. It's his looks which deceives a lot of people and with his killer layout that nobody is attempting, people would assume he has stamina issues WHEN he is healthy. I'm not expecting a clean skate from him though, I gave up that notion last year when he explained why he does what he does. Him skating clean is just a bonus for me when I could see him smiling and slowly achieving the goals he made for himself.

Hoping that this season will be better than last. AC is just around the corner guys.
