Surprisingly the puffs don't bother me that much at all. Yes, he should do some tailoring and hopefully get rid of it but when in motion I barely noticed it. It's on the photos and at the beginning when he's standing that it looks weird. at first I thought it was cut out, pretending to be see through, and I almost freaked out lol And I LOVE the combination of colors, more than the costume from last season actually. Gold plus light blue looks ethereal for me and with his skating it just turns  As for his performance, I thought the program seems more polished as it should be, he didn't seem to rush through the movements at any moment in my opinion. Honestly, when he announced that he would keep the short I was a bit dissapointed. I absolutely love Chopin, it's my favourite short program of his, but I thought that seeing it for another season the program could lose its impact and I thought that exploring new programs would make him grow more artistically. I still think that it would be great it he does new programs from the other seasons but seeing the original Chopin now it doesn't feel quite that much like the same program from last season which is great. That's of course because the choreo is different but I also think that he performed it better, I don't know, he's more comfortable and his arms are lovely. It was a very good showing and he looks determined as ever, his stare after the program is everything
Good luck tomorrow, keep it together with that monster of a FS :cheer2:

Oh, I didn't bother to check if his 4T was rotated or not since the s/o distracted me

Again with that single judge #7 giving him +2 on that 3A  It happened in that order during CoC too lol

Friendly Judge #7 also gave him -1 goe for the 3Lz+3T.

Is it now the GOEs can get as high as +4s? I was thrilled to see +3 for 3A until I remember that the maximum GOE this season seems to be +4s?

The range is still -3 to +3 and only the Quads SOV has change. All triples remained the same.

The negative GOE on his lutz combo was definitely deserved though, but he/she was stingy on the 3A goe. What more can Hanyu do, tano the 3A? Actually I'd love to see that in practice as long as attempting it doesn't kill him :slink:

^^ I would have given him 0 or -1 too. That combo was eeked out but since this is a senior B the +1's are acceptable.

I think it should be a 0. Just to compensate on his stingy sandwich spread eagle 3A appreciation.

I have to go over the videos to see if indeed the quad was under rotated. It looks fine to my untrained eyes.

Just checked it out and his toepick landed exactly 1/4 short of rotation. A more lenient panel would have probably let that slide but its a just call.
