Yes, the bright side is that the single jump that DID count, the 3A, he got GOE +3.

Also, no matter what this is still better than CoC.

Brian said something about not liking the direction or arc into the 4T, and they should think about changing it.

well if he's sticking to his pattern, what with the bad SP after great practices, then maybe he'll also stick to the pattern of good FP after bad SP:hopelessness: On the other hand, with Max winning last week, maybe it'll be better for everyone if I don't watch.

Not good. He is currently in 6th. His TES was only 28.43. He didn't get scores for the jumps (failed 4t turned 2t and combo)

I watched it and I was like "wait... what was that? ". He looked so out of it

Well Yuzu was 7pts back from 1st at worlds 2014! So there is hope! The only problem is that I cant expect a lights out performance this early in the season! I hate to say it, but he will need to skate perfect and hope others make mistakes

I am not so surprised because he never did well in his first GP anyway, his GP pattern is like... Either the SP or the LP is bad. Now it seems the SP is bad. The pattern works.

Yeah, I'm disappointed in the result but I hope for the best in the FS tomorrow when Yuzu skates to Seimei with fire in his eyes! I also wonder why he never skates well during the GP and then peaks in the GPF, is it just a Hanyu thing or is it the norm for other skaters too?

Probably not, I was too nervous to watch the SP tonight and purposely went grocery shopping during the time frame just to miss it. But I managed to catch Yuzuru's final step sequence when I tuned into the live-stream near the end. Anyway, trying to think positively: at least nothing can get worse than the horrors of Cup of China last year.

I hope he holds true to his pattern. Bad SP = Great FP. Bad start to season = good/great end to season.

I'll try to watch it live tomorrow. If he has the courage to skate it then I can gather enough courage (wine) to watch it.

I'm just hoping this isn't a repeat of NHK 2014 where he had two bad programs in a row PLEASE YUZURU

Ok I just really hope Yuzuru is amazing tomorrow... It's a lot to ask for but it's really frustrating for me (and definitely for him) to see performances like this because we KNOW he's capable of so much more ;_; Like even with the invalid jumping passes everything else was amazing and it's just really sad that the jumps weren't all there today. Do well tomorrow Yuzu!!
