I happen to love the an-an pictures, but maybe that's because I'm in a country where this kind of cover is normal, and nothing even sightly disturbing. The only thing I would dislike is seeing Yuzu posing (nearly) naked. NOW, that would disturb me, lol! I have seen lot of my fav skaters posing half-naked, naked, whatever (Weir, Lambiel, Joubert, etc...) and nothing shocked me (hell, I did appreciate it, lol), but Yuzu... I think I'd be very disturb to see baby boy posing like his elders have done in the past. 
Glad to hear and see he arrived safely! I hope the whole competition will go well! I don't care if he doesn't do the same scores as in NHK, all I want is to see him winning GPF! With Javi 2nd and little Shoma 3rd.

Regarding these pictures, I kind of like it. It's different but I like how the pictures show us a more casual and relaxed side of him, and he looked like he had a lot of fun during the photo shoot. Let's be honest, it could've been worse (just googled "ANAN magazine" and you'll know what I mean). I feel like we should be more relieved than disappointed.

News footage of Hanyu-san arriving in Barcelona. Did not say where he came from so I guess we'll just have to guess if he was in Japan or in Toronto this whole time. 
He said he doesn't feel like a return to Barcelona, but rather like a new competition. He was asked about going for the 3rd consecutive GPF title, but he said rather than thinking about that, he prepared for this competition like he did the last one and practiced a lot.
Have tons of fun those of you in Barcelona! Hope you enjoy all disciplines as well!

Thank you very much. No, it's a postdoctoral position which normally is research-based.
Ah, yes, how could I forget. I did a postdoc too. Fun times.

I personally don't find anything wrong at all in the magazine cover. It's a normal shot and he looks how he's supposed to look for the theme/concept. I've seen worse/weirder shot from some covers by some idols (let's just say idols) believe me.. Yuzu's is much normal and better. Maybe because I also like that casual sort of boy-next-door look for him (or anyone I like, really). It suits him and it's another persona of him than being an athlete. I also think he looks cute so that's always a plus.. :luv17:
Anyway that kind of photo shoot usually has a predetermined concept or theme and tbh, his is probably the best we can get. I'll take that concept than any other 'unique' concept that probably won't suit him as much. Oh and the most important, he looked like he enjoyed the shoot so that's great to know.
Back to the GPF topic, I'm actually not (yet) nervous about it.. hopefully this good feeling will continue throughout the week. :2thumbs:

I just want to break the combo and say I LIKE JPop and idols 
Although many idol photoshoots are bland and uninspired but that's basically it. I think the Anan pictures are cute and I like them.
I really can't wait for GPF!! I won't say that I dare to hope he can repeat NHK but I hope he's able to do two programs that satisfy him and ofc I'd like to see him win haha.

I couldn't agree more. The messy hair, white sweater and facial expressions seem very unlike Yuzu. The cover looks like a different person entirely in my eyes. Oh well, to each his own.
