i hope that someone that was at the rink recorded the program and will post it bc I feel you see the speed, ice coverage etc. better from the audience's perspective

Thank you, Yuzuru, for presenting us such an unparalleled visual feast, thank you! :clapper::thumbsup::love: You are the greatest men's skater I have ever seen!

Congratulations Yuzu for the new WR! :clapper:

By the way…You know that? Considering the last season and the very beginning of this season , How amazing (and a littlebit funny) that the Chopin program SUDDENLY has turned into his most special lucky SP since the NHK!!

Can someone translate the Spanish, Russian, other language besides English commentary on the SP?

Uploading one of those! YT is too slow so it should be up in like 30 min :)

And Yuzu waiting for Javi to finish the jumps, such a good friend and sportsman aside from everything else. You don't find many people like that nowadays.

Jeff Buttle congratulating Yuzu Thank you Jeff for giving Yuzu such a wonderful piece and choreo, they're a great team.

Johnny is in tears and speechless.

I just noticed Yuzu got 22 10s on PCS...that's more than both of his programs combined at NHK!

JSF staff had urged Yuzu to leave but Yuzu insisted on watching all of Javier's jumps.

I think it's JSF telling him to go (to do interview maybe?) and he was pointing and saying "just let me watch this first"? Why do I get a weird satisfaction that he is able to do what he wants and say no??

At the beginning of PJ's video did he say "that's so close!"? Haha, I thought he wouldn't mind any close up since his has literally poreless skin

I do not know enough to understand the levels for step sequence...does anyone feel up to the challenge of dissecting it?

 "I need to practice more" :laugh2:

I would not be surprised it from Yuzu anymore because in the interview right after he became an Olympic champion at Sochi, he said that “I want to practice more when I return to Japan as soon as possible “, so NO wonder about the state!!

Yuzu is always being Yuzu.

French colleague Paul Peret just told me Hanyu’s 22 perfect 10.0 components topped only by @CharlieaWhite @Meryl_Davis 25 for FD at ’14 Oly

This thread moves so fast. I can't keep up.

I did expect him to break the SP WR soon and he always does well at GPF. So I'm not surprised that he actually broke the SP WR here. It seems that this season is the season he is physically peaking (or starting to peak, he is 21 now, which is the golden age for male skaters). I hope he maintains the peak and peaks at the next Olympics.

The tech specialist is the same tech specialist, Scott Davis, who gave him level 2 stsq in the LP at Autumn Classic International. I wonder if Yuzuru got level 3 stsq because he did not satisfy the upper body movement requirement. (He got level 3 stsq in the SP at Autumn Classic International too.) He has been receiving level 3 stsq at most competitions. He can't be missing turns at every single competition. The skaters that regularly get level 4 stsq, e.g. Shoma and Patrick, are skaters that have good upper body movement and posture. I don't understand the exact requirement for upper body movement, but it seems quite subjective. So I think whether he gets level 4 stsq depends on whether the tech specialist thinks his upper body movement is good enough. Scott Davis seems like a very harsh tech specialist.

The British uncles were gushing all over Yuzu. What did the Polish uncle say? What's the name of the Polish uncle?
