I wonder, if yuzu take a season off, do you think it's a good or bad idea? I always think that he got too little time to rest and just loosen up away from skating pressure. But because it already too close to the next oly, it probably a bad idea...
I hope jfs will be more lenient to him and let him have more time in tcc next year, and to not make him do many ice shows

People may have different opinions . It would be nice to accept it .
Not when so-called fans attack or/and criticize him for no reason, no.

Read on Twitter : "Yuzu and Javi are actually really adorable during gala practice" (@Sam H https://twitter.com/ssh2138/status/716639426538029056)

I want picture ! :biggrin::)
I've seen on twitter that Yuzuru will skate at the gala right before each winner of each category (number 19). That means a lot, I think. :)

Yuzu's interview after WC.

Rough translation or summary

He's been asked what food do you want to eat now?

Well.....I know you are asking this question to kind of suggest me to take a good rest, but ...rather than thinking about food, I want to skate.

I could not do well in two competions in a row (Nationals and WC), and that is a test the God has given me. That is why I feel I need to aim even higher and I want to be stronger. I really want to be strong.

Q:Do you want to Skate?
My character will not change for the rest of my life, even if I try I cannot change it. There is nothing I can do about it. So I will cherish what I have and will try to face it. I will tackle with skating(I don't know good translation on this last sentence)

Feel free to correct me.
I didn't watch this program, so maybe there is loger footage to be uploaded later.

I have my doubt on him ever doing that (at least until 2018), but if he does... mmm, maybe it could be good, but then how would he organize his year off? I don't know. But next season is the last one before the Olympics season, so I'm not sure it would be a good idea... :confused2:

Probably not a good idea. If he wants to introduce the 4lo in his programs, he'll need more than just the Olympic season to get used to it.

It might be off-topic, but I'd like to share my unique and mysterious experience I had about one month ago.
I've hesitated to tell you guys before or during the WC because it happened at my friend's funeral. I thought mentioning anything related to death makes some people feel ill-fated.
My friend was much younger than me, (I'm an old aunty in the same generation with BOrser,) which means she was supposed to live much longer than me.
At her funeral, I could barely breathe, choked by the storming emotions, the mix of sadness, anger, despair, helplessness, and more, but weirdly no tears.
While a Buddist monk was chanting a sutra, Yuzu's spinning image (in Chopin) emerged in my head out of nowhere. He kept spinning silently but beautifully like a ballet dancer on a music box, as if he had been determined to spin eternally.
Gradually, I came to breathe normally and started to cry. It was like his spin calmed down the storm in my heart and sublimated the complicated emotions into pure sorrow. I felt sad comfortably. It sounds strange, but the feeling was exactly like that.
Now I can say his skating has a special power to console people staying in their hearts so long. I can say his skating is not precious for the color of medal but for it's power to touch one's heart. (Of course some other skaters have such kind of power to somebody. For me, it's Yuzuru.)
When he truly realizes such power existing in his skating, it might be also a power to let his pressure go.

@Victor, thanks for sharing your story, my condolences on your friend passing. I'm glad that Yuzu's skating able console you.

that's subjective I think. I myself thought a poster was blaming Yuzu and I ask him/her please to stop it, maybe there 's no need to state people are stupid. It seems to me we've discussed different opinions civily in the last days , which sounds good :) .

Trust me, I don't necessarily mean here. I have seen worse than in this forum. People are free to express their sadness and disappointment that he didn't win, of course, I'll never disagree on that. But attacking him is another matter. That's why I call those people stupid. Because attacking someone for not meeting your expectation and trashing him is very low. Maybe my post is a bit more clear. :)

this is very touching, thanks for sharing it with us :)

This article:disapp:
And Fernandez, really? Did you have fun to tease Yuzuru?
"It's okay Yuzu, you have still enogh time to beat me" are you SERIOUS?
Yeah, we know, you are the "best" and nobody can beat you.
I'm done with this.:dev2:

Are you serious? There is actual footage of that moment, after the competition finished and they were in the green room with Brian, Yuzuru laid back and lightly kicked his legs (he looked a bit sad because of the results). So both Brian and Javier patted him on the knee and that's when Javier told him that. Yeah, what a bully, you can tell by the pictures of the ceremony how ill-intentioned that comment was and how mad and hurt Yuzuru was because of it :sarcasm: As its been noted, he's been trying to cheer him up as well.
Javier is also very humble and he has never considered himself as better than Yuzuru, at most he sees him as equal. But he has said many times that he can't beat a clean Yuzuru.

Our boy at gala practice #1, #2, #3

Spot him in this video ...he is grooving :dance3:

Wow, sharp eyes! It would have taken me some time for the third one if he wasn't circled  looks like it will be a very interesting number, I can't wait to see it!

I am sorry for lost your friend !
I agree with you, no matter what he did at Worlds, he bring us so much joy and power to overcome the difficult days in our lives. He must learn to let the pressure to be always perfect to be gone. And true fans will love him no matter his results will be. It's more important for us that he will be healthy and happy with his skating. Because less expectations will bring him more joy in skating, don't you think ?
