I will readily admit that I am not a Yuzu fan. I think he's overscored in PCS but also think his athleticism is other-worldly. What this competition showed me is that he, like other mere mortals, is beatable on any day. BUT - having said all that, I LOVED LOVED LOVED his exhibition. He finally showed his personality, seemed to be having great fun out there, and I saw a different side of the mechanical robotic skater with the killer jumps. Then when the gala finale was going on, he was dancing around, being playful with the other skaters, and I got a totally different sense of him. And the other point that I would like to make is he is a gentleman and a good sport. His behavior with Javi after the results came out was genuine and heartfelt and that was so good to see.

Thank you for your comment. It’s no wonder everyone has each taste and you have your own view. I’m just glad to know his attitudes and Requiem moved you to such extent. Requiem is song for victims of the disaster 3.11. I was afraid Requiem couldn’t be accepted in North America Worlds. But after Ex, I could see comments like “I didn’t like this program but now I come to love it.” “In the venue, A woman sobbed to watch Requiem.”. Requiem at WC 2016 seems special program for some people.
 
I feel like his leg muscles have really been developing lately. They've been looking more defined.

I love Requiem at the gala, I've been watching it everyday this week including a slow-motion version :biggrin:

Yuzu enjoyed that New Year's Eve show from bottom of my heart. Behind that, some episode that camera didn’t catch (like, he kept clapping after others quit.) were told by the singer. It’s very yuzu.

You went to GPF 2015? Lucky you! Some members seem to plan to go to his competition this year (I’m also), so this time, I would like to make arrangement for meeting our GS yuzuru fan members!

I giggled when his eyes were lighten up with his fav band coming to perform. He's always so encouraging to people, such a sweet boy.

I has gone to GPF since 2013. My honor to witness Yuzu's first gold medal of GPF. I will go to GPF and Worlds in the coming season also. This time I must arrange my schedule to meet you guys!

I agree with you. Seimei is my fav program but I also hope Yuzu can step forward, move on and have another breakthrough that I believe he will certainly do better.

But I absolutely don't mind to see Seimei as in EX in the future. ;)

Tbh I love both versions as I appreciate them from different perspectives. I see the new one as a very formal, decent and appropriate costume for competition, then for the old one, that's quite, ummmm... seductive.

Thank you so much for introducing the landscape of fs fans in Korea :agree: I saw there are a number of passionate Korean fans on tumblr, so I thought Yuzu's popularity is fine there. Of coz sometimes situation will get a bit sophisticated when it comes to politics and the love to their home country.

I like Requiem a lot too. I regard this is one of his best programs in terms of maturity. Some fs fans tend to like artistic programs instead of competitive programs with full jumps elements and Requiem is the best program to show Yuzuru's capability and his side as a pure skater with exceptional artistry. This program proves that he's still the best skater in the world even though we are not talking about competitive skating. If Seimei is something very oriental that few westerners still can't understand, Requiem is absolutely universal to show human being's emotions in a straight-forward way with one's complete soul. Everyone should be able to feel the program, i can say.
 
Just wanted to say how much I loved ANA's message to Yuzu, it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you ANA for all the support and love you've given him these past 3 years :luv17:
