Great. The men's programs are on my days off. Excellent.

Hope yuzu skips more of FaOi too. I know people want to see him, but the more rest the better. No more downplaying or ignoring injuries. Is this the longest he's been off the ice? I know he was off with the surgery last year, but can't remember how long that was for.

I wonder if yuzu is using jeff again. Jeff looks like he is busy with shows, first csoi and then FaOi...but there is time in mid june when it sn't scheduled... time to choreograph a new program? Can't help but be curious... it is the off season!

If this true, they gona skate back to back again. Oh boy...:drama:

I'm going to take leave from work on those dates. I'm not going to miss it :yes:

I think the problem in Sochi was the fact that they finished the SP late at night in addition to skating back to back. They skated back to back at Worlds last year and when some skaters were asked about it, they said it's something that happens in the sport. It's not unusual during the GP circuit either :shrug:
But with this schedule they will finish early. And as Yuzu will likely skate in the last group, I hope there is no need for him to get up early either. ;)

So Yuzuru only does 12 crossovers in his entire free skate. :eek:

The author says Yuzuru is the only skater who in both programs does quads and axels with different entries, in both SP and LP. As in the LP, Yuzuru jumps with combination entries, where he uses variety of entries with difficulty. These entries are risky but they contribute to the program’s difficulty and they look great as a whole.

This is fascinating stuff! I hope you'll consider posting it in the main forum as it shows what separates the top tier skaters from the next tier down. The number of crossovers is especially revealing.

Makuhari show is end of May. Other shows are in June. I think he will skip them, too. Because ANA said Yuzu will start choreo in June instead of early May. But Faoi is postponing the announcement because people are rushing to sell their ticket already on auction site and price has dropped to 1/4 of the price before his injury announcement. Having said that there is still some possibility of him participating in the end of June Faoi maybe Kobe or Nagano. ANA said they will make announcement again in mid May, so after that they will do the announcement for the rest of the shows, I thik.

I personally hope he will skip all shows and rest well. But he enjoys the shows himself and in the shows he will can do easy programs. Besides he needs to be back for Visa reasons in July August to be back in Canada in September( he does not have Canadian employer, so I do not think he has working visa and his mom certainly does not have working visa and he has to be with his Mom while he is in Canada).
 
The FaOI organizers should get Yuzuru to record different video messages for the audience for each night there is a performance. Then play it during the intermission or near the end of the show, before the finale. They could be something like 30 seconds long, and Yuzuru can discuss anything he likes. Maybe some memories he has of the city the event is happening in. Or something interesting that happened with one of the other skaters (we all like funny stories). Yuzuru could even make the videos in his room, like the Canon selfie video. That way fans can see Yuzuru, and the organizer can still sell tickets. And because it would be different each night, new fans might want to come and see. Just a thought.

Yes, it's apparently because NBC in their infinite wisdom demanded (!) that certain events be held in the morning in South Korea.

At least the Asians can watch it during the day-time, and with the men, that means only one work day. That's not so bad.
For the Americans, it's perfect, because it'll be prime-time in the evenings (the previous day for them).
It's the Europeans who are left with a ridiculous dead-of-night viewing schedule.

I'm sorry if I come across as whiny. It's a sore subject for me, because it's happening more and more, whereas I used to shout for joy whenever something would take place in Asia because at least it would take place in my day-time, and I could watch it by taking a day off or something (it's also happening with the Rio Olympics, NBC demanding prime-time coverage of big sports events like Swimming and Athletics, which in some cases means people will be performing around midnight Rio time (!). I mean, it's not just unfair to the viewers, but also to the sportsmen and -women, too.

But, nothing to be done about it. I still have two years to get used to the idea. :biggrin:

Oh, and yes, then there's the whole "why the heck are they putting the SP and FS on two consecutive days?" thing. That I just don't get. I mean, I get that it's nice for fans who would want to visit the Olympics for only a couple of days, but I cannot imagine it's nice for the sporters....

Your avatar is pretty nice.:agree: Yeah, I also enjoy to watch his films about the movie. According the twitter, the filming seems to have been carried out right after nagaoka show last summer.
And thanks for the painting video. That is really well explaint and I saw how you used the technics effectively for his costumes. I actually love pictures and got to try it. Before him we may want to be an kind of artist. Some feeling to want to draw comes to us when we see him, his picture, his art, etc::
