I think we all know that currently ISU is working hard to make our lives... you know...

When I did- the last Worlds came to my mind immediately. Yuzu skating 2nd in the final group.

And tough for Brian. That's good for Yuzuru.
And tough for Brian.

i think it's too soon for ice shows, the last info we had is that he still had pain in mid may so I don't think he is ready.
It could mean anything, I guess. As someone else has said, if they had confirmation of his attendance, they'd probably shout it from the rooftops. By not announcing his absence, they at least keep people from selling their tickets like maniacs. They may not lose money because the tickets are already sold, but I doubt that it would look good if so many of those tickets end up being resold (maybe even below value) or worse, if a big part of the audience has enough time to just cancel their trips and not show up at all.
I don't think it will change much too. It is just now the audience will know which of the judge give unreasonable mark. Like for me personally, I really would like to know which judge give Yuzuru 7s in PCS during last year's Skate Canada. That's good for Yuzuru.
ETA: The removal of anonymous judging won't prevent any cheating. Judges and feds will cheat as usual. (There was no anonymous judging in 6.0 era. But bloc judging and vote trading was very common.) But they wouldn't dare to cheat much when they are under the spotlight of the Olympics and being watched by the entire world.

I think GPF wasn't mentioned and perhaps will remain the same. I don't wish it will be the same for every event but the latest change makes things a bit more reasonable. I hope.Does this mean that during GPF the draw will no longer be from last to first? I don't know why they don't just make the order uniform and do what they usually do at the GPF, where the first in SP skated last. This will make a good climax and make people actually watch until the end.![]()

As per Brian having to run in both directions very fast, well... I hope Yuzu demands more of his attention when necessary. Being polite is good but being left alone in need is a very very bad thing indeed. So- wise and balanced. Very very wise and outrageously balanced. Towards Yuzuru please.
Also... 90 visa days should be over by now and Yuzu should come home for a while. I wonder when and what news we hear the first from him. I sense a lot of anticipation on Twitter lately, people are getting very nervous.

It's probably the Canadian judge.
As long as these judges are not paid by the ISU, and they are nominated by their feds, they will cheat with their feds whether or not the judging is anonymous. The judges' career and future depend on their feds. There is no reward for them to be honest and fair and there is plenty of rewards for corrupt and biased judging. The public interest in non-Olympics competitions is low. During non-Olympics events, the pressure from the public is small/insignificant compared to the pressure from their feds. Only the publicity of the Olympic game can place significant restraint on the judges' behavior.

Oh God I HATE that event!Even with the olympic games we can't really escape judging controversy. I meant Men's Vancouver and Ladies' Sochi is an example![]()

I don't know if he has longer visa but... then he would have to go home when GP starts, that is bad. And there will be no Brian. No Brian is not always good. We shall see anyways.Ah, that's great. I am so in it for GPF's order, I don't want it to go. It keeps you at the edge of your seat until the last skater and just add to the climax. I remember during oly the excitement after Patrick's FS just diminished for me cause we all already know who will win the medals. Also, regarding Brian, I think his system of staying with the skater who is about to skate rather than the skater in the kiss and cry is good. But yeah it is awkward to see yuzuru alone in different instances in the kiss and cry (even when he won worlds or break records in GPF and oly). Maybe tracy should come along next time when both Yuzu and Javi skated? So that there is someone else aside of Brian to tend to their skaters. Especially during worlds, he seems to be with everyone so he will need help (even for the ladies he sits with Gaby alaine and Elizabet too).
About his visa, i thought it was 6 months? Or not?

I think if Yuzu works with David Wilson he might come with Yuzu everywhere because... well... David wants some fame. He haven't got any since Yuna. And if Yuzu has an Oly program with David and his Fed invites David... ooh, David would be over the Moon, I'm telling you.![]()

The controversies at the Olympics are close wins. It's still less controversial (but it does get a lot more publicity) than the controversies at many non-Olympic competitions, where the gold and silver medalists were not even close.
I think the judging at the next Olympics should be relatively fair, especially now the fans and the media can identify the judges.
I'm curious about it because from what I have found Japanese citizens don't actually need a Candian visa if they stay for less than 6 months at a time. Just a Travel authorization or something of the sort.
I have never seen her in Kiss& Cry corner so perhaps she has always been busy with her TV arrangements. But in Sochi Yuzu had a Fed representative with him when he broke that record so... at least at Oly he wouldn't be alone that's for sure.About david, i think even if he became the choreographer of Yuzuru, wouldn't JSF opt to send tracy instead since she is actually his coach? I don't know though. Is tracy still working with CBC/NBC? I never saw her at the kiss/cry if i recalled correctly even if she is a listed coach of yuzuru.

I still laugh every time I remember itAnd her reaction was more priceless than anything we've seen from Brian![]()
