Judging by the body language of the figure in grey (relaxed posture, hands on hips) I think that's Yuzuru. The man could be Papa Pooh coach whose name I could never remember (bad names memory anyway), who's listed as a jumping technique coach if I'm not wrong.

I have a feeling the coach is the Cha Jun Hwan's coach, I remember him talking to Yuzu on some competitions last season quite a few times actually and he's not that tall. :think: Is he called a Papa Pooh coach, I have no idea? I also think that grey suited guy is Yuzu and it makes sense if they work on jump take off for his foot not to be damaged. He used to say thet they need to work on take-off technique to prevent injury. So maybe that is what was going on in there. Assumptions, assumptions...:laugh:

Why does it have to depend on Hanyu's decision? Does it mean if yuzu get CoR, Kolyada will go to CoC instead?

Edit : I also find it super weird that SA offered Kolyada when they got Rippon? Rippon and Kolyada can't meet on the same GP right?

Either because he wants to avoid Yuzuru or he wants to compete against Yuzuru. I think it's more likely to be the latter. He wants to compete in the same GP as Yuzu.

It would be weird if Rippon chooses to skip SA voluntarily since he is the national champ. If SA is offered to Kolyada before Rippon, I think it means SA wants to make Jason the star at SA. USFSA doesn't want to invite anyone that would be a threat to Jason. If that's the intention, there is no way SA would invite either Yuzuru or Javier.

Yeah that is a possibility. Kolyada don't want to go to SA (or can't because of Rippon) So his only choice is CoC or NHK since TEB and SC is just 1 week after CoR. If Yuzu get CoR he probably would not want to face Yuzuru twice so he would opt for CoC instead. Though someone from 4-6 place has to go to SA. It can't be Chan since I doubt he wants to go to competition back to back 1 week apart. So if Kolyada said he rejected SA offer, means Rippon have to go there regardless? :scratch2:

Not sure about the rules but in the interview handled with Mikhail they say 6 best according to their Worlds Champs results get to choose the assignments.
 
Kolyada said that he was offered SA but refused because the flight to US is rather long and tiresome and the rink size is very different.

Oh, thanks for the info! This means SA really did not invite Rippon (or Rippon doesn't wanna go there, either way it is weird lol). I am actually hoping Yuzuru would go to CoR cause the switch in schedule making it possible for him to go this season (NHK makes it kind of hard for him to go to CoR, previously if I am not wrong). But both SA and SC is close to Toronto so he probably prefer to go there due to less travel time.

If Kolyada wants to compete against Yuzuru, he would be even happier to be able to compete against him twice than once.

They must invite someone and if we assume all federations want their own skaters to be stars, Skate Canada won't want Javi or Yuzu either because of Patrick, and CoR won't want them because of Kolyada/Kovtun. They all would want Boyang since he's less of a star but they all can't have Boyang.

I love how passionate he seems skating there. Just imagine how badly he missed the ice.
Among all the skaters, my attention first of all was captured by his beautiful stroking.

Yuzu did Skate Canada last year and Patrick won it to much acclaim.

And I would think Orser has enough influence with Skate Canada to get whatever he wants for his skaters (which may or may not be SC this year).
