Yuzuru Hanyu: 2015-16 Season

Thanks for the link to the new costume and the whole video! I am still in the process of watching it but looks like a collector's item for any fan of Hanyu-san's. High-def version of his best programs! What a treat. I don't have much thought about gold or silver, but I am not used to that waist detail yet, so for now I like the original "straight waist" better, but of course it might change

My God i can't imagine how many times he will appear during his career if he already appeared on the cover of over 50 magazines.

Regarding the changes in the costume i think they are nice. Now it doesn't look like it's white with embroiders (cause it looked like that on camera), i mean beside the sleeves and all the other green/purple.
As for the waist i agree it does give a more traditional look. Generally i like it, though gold is not my favorite color.


Edit: I am glad that Yuzuru and Kyogen master Mansai Nomura met. I believe they have many things to share and teach (for lack of other word) one another.

Hey, I've been compiling a list in excel of all the figure skating mags since Sochi....give me some time and I will have an answer for you soon :yay: One thing for sure, there are a lot more new magazines that surfaced since last season.

What the... Yuzuru is Sailor Moon?!

No!!!!!!! I don't really like usagi!!!! (Sorry, as I never watched sailor moon until I reach adolescence so it has no nostalgic value to me, so I'm kinda critical to it, if you're sailor moon fan, don't scold me Ok? )

Awe, thanks! Actually I wrote an entry about the women's event so I didn't post it here on the Yuzu site...so thats why I have been gone for more than a week. With the new season coming up soon, I will post regularly again. Go Yuzu Go!!

Oh, the many faces of Yuzu! I must say I prefer the grown up SEIMEI version to the 12 year old boy Ghana version. Why must they always make him look so silly? As I've said before they better be paying him a lot of money to do their CM's.
Thanks Alia for always posting the funniest things. I think my favorite of all time was the earphone insertion gif. I've never seen anything quite like it!

The Mansai x Hanyu talk event was a dream come true for me and probably the best thing I saw during this off-season besides his ice shows :thumbsup:
I was expecting it at one point in the future, but not this soon! Now I wonder if he'll change the opening pose slightly after this.

This is very precious. Mansai Nomura really has different aura and Yuzu is really perceptive at such young age. With my rusty Japanese, I can pick up a little bit from the conversation. It's very deep and really impressive to see them together. I swear, I feel there are some similarities between these two, but I can't put my finger on it.

Really glad Mansai Nomura shares his knowledge and teaches Yuzu some of his movements. Imagine Yuzu incorporates these graceful movements into his Seimei program What an honour

I totally agree with yuzu. You hit the nail on the head. Mansai has something special. he’s trained himself in his hard circumstances. His family has passed on the traditional art for generations. Yuzu wanted to see him since he was younger.
Further, the place where they talked is the nou stage. The collider at the left shows the boundary between this world (live) and the next (death). The place itself has something divine and mysterious. Yuzu must have absorbed so many worthy things and shall cultivate them inside himself from now on.
