it almost feels like at the beginning of his stsq, he is casting a spell (the throw dust move, I mentioned above), and then at the end of his stsq (some think the change of music is a little abrupt), actually, is the ringer to break the spell (notice his finger snap right with the ringer, I think some indeed don't wanna wake up from his stsq here :p), sorta like how you were woken up during a hypnosis.

 that step sequence is so crazy, he moves like a fox there.

Gorgeous 4T (not sure which program he's skating to though, maybe Chopin? Because it's from the side of the rink of the first 4T in SEIMEI but it's not the same entrance he had in the run-through. But then again, I didn't recognize the choreo )

Yup thats the Chopin, choreo different from last season since he's putting it in the 2nd half of the program. The open practice clips from the Cricket Club back in August showed this section :)

I am delighted with Seimei. Yuzu can unite art and sport. The music seems to penetrate into your body and materialize through their movements. It's just amazing.
Chopin is magnificent, a beautiful dream.

Hi guys! Thanks for sharing :D
Finally, the awaited first competition event is here!! I still need to watch the video but based on you guys comments seems like it's great I can't wait to see it in the competition :cheer:
I'll come back once I've seen the practice video to comment more.
Wishing Yuzu the best of the best for tomorrow/today's (timezone) performance

According to the some practice videos, Love the music cut which itself is dramatic, the choreography,
and that his magnificent step sequence already + Yuzuru skating overall, really, how that can’t be masterpiece??

and I can wait any longer for his Chopin's new costume

Shae Lynn Bourne did an amazing job choreographing it, didn't she? Every movement corresponds with music, arms, legs, entire body, every movement has meaning and is so in character. Those gliding crossovers at the end of the sequence make him look like a mysterious foxy magician who's emerging from a victorious fight! I too hope Yuzu won't forget those details when he won't be able to opt out of half of his jumps.

I think Shae Lynn’s choreography in general has every movement corresponds with music, arms, legs and entire body, and has meaning. I think it's very obvious in Ashley’s programs and Yuzu’s POTO too. SEIMEI is more so. It seems that Shae Lynn and Yuzuru spent a lot of effort on SEIMEI.

SEIMEI looks really awesome.

SEIMEI!!! percussion ...rhythm...drums....rythm..... the step sequence is hypnotic while the jump layout is totally crazy
GOOO YUZUUUU!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

what amazes me is that he can do his quad toe in so many unusal ways, this quad combo straight from steps is great

This program is sooo full of goodness I don't know where to begin. But it is the most difficult program I've ever seen. I'm bracing myself for some doozies before he gets it right in competition. Fingers crossed. Go Yuzu!

This program is amazing, I feel as if I see the burning flame through the skate. The dance move is also very well executed, so intense! :cheer2:

Came back for a quick review of the practice clip.
Like everyone, I'm loving the step sequence (also the choreography part but then I've decided about it since after the ice show) and how it all goes together with the seems-to-be quiet but intricate music. How he glides backward and then forward (later towards the end of the step sequence) is so mesmerizing. I also agree that this practice session is the time when we can actually see it performed to such detail
The music cut is fine it's arranged pretty well I think. The percussion and whistling (not sure of the instrument, must be a traditional flute or something) sound is captivating.

He did that quad combo beautifully.. hope that it'll also go well during the actual competition. Here's also hoping that the lutz wouldn't fail him.. as well as the rest of his jumps ofc.
Love the final spin sequence and that majestic ending pose haha I mean look at how his hair/bangs kinda flipped

He definitely looked comfortable with it and I hope he'll be confident on all of his jumps and the rest of the elements and he can execute it properly. I think the most important is just to take it easy. Just do it. It's his very first competition and even if not all things go as planned, it's ok and he'll have time to fix and improve it.

Good luck Yuzu!! :cheer:

And I realized I have no classes tomorrow morning, so count me in on the viewing party!!! No dorm hopping for me tonight.

woooow, i love it !!
his movements are so sharp and soft at the same time, so fluid, he takes simple movements like cross-rolls (thanks yyyskate, i didnt know the name ) and make them his own, lovely arms and amazing expression from start to finish, he has many transitions but they dont scream "transition!" because he is able to blend them into the program masterfully, i just love this program,

What an amazing program! I didn't realize that it was already about to be over because it was just so beautiful.
