The fact that I want to write that it's at least an improvement makes me want to cut off a finger  God. The abomination has mated with a flatiron and its offspring is now a suit. I think I'm about to cry.
Strike that. I am crying. :hopelessness:

Some skaters are doing 4T3T because they can't do 4T out of steps, the reason for that is they need to setup themselves before 4T
But let's be honest some skaters doing solo 4T in short are faking steps and they are going away without negative GOE for that but that for other talk ;)

Exactly :) It's one of the reason it bugs me when people go on about quad combo being more difficult or more challenging than the solitary quad: it all depends on HOW it is done.
And of course, the lenient way the out-of-step rule is enforced drives me crazy, but that's another topic :)

Watching today again his SP I have to say I am still amazed by his LP, and I thought it will be hard to get LP better than Chopin short

Now I'm getting all superstitious. :drama: In my country we have a proverb: "Don't praise the day before the sunset" and here we are praising it before sunrise. I'm hoping we haven't jinxed anything and he'll pull it off well, performance and all. :cheer:

Well I think it will be hard here seeing how difficult this program is. It's really packed everywhere. But I think as he will get stronger trough season he will pull it off

Bathclin news
Starting on Oct 10 Bathclin aired its three CMs of KIKIYU (medicated bath powder) nationwide. Bathclin mentioned a lot of customers expected a new CM of Yuzu since they contracted him this February. However, the CMs incorporated Yuzu's Chopin and POTO competition clips instead as the production time could not match his busy pre-season schedule. - source Echo Cheng @YHIFG FB

Storyboard for the CMs

CM#1 Product for your back

CM#2 Product for 冷え性 (hiesho); cold-sensitive constitution or bad circulation

CM#3 Product for your skin (implying itchy skin from cold/dry weather)

It’s cool, Yuzu (14 y/o) put his bracelet back in the proper position, after his jump.

Yuzuru says Pooh is ugly. Clip starting at 00:58. Now we know why he was massaging Pooh's face.

Because he just took Pooh out from the suitcase and it was wrinkly. And he was massaging it's face trying to remove it.

What a pretty pooh package! https://twitter.com/harurize/status/652394511465738240

We need that for Chopin and Seimei nail arts.

Then dress up in Chopin and Seimei theme, and carry Pooh in Chopin and Seimei costume as accessory

Could someone explain why Mickey was in the Olympics in Sochi and not pooh? Video posted by mimoza525 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeVMvKxO9ho

Someone threw Yuzu a Pooh bear anyway so he had one to hold in the Kiss and Cry.
Here's the gif of Yuzu and the plastic-wrapped-flying Pooh (Dick Button in interview said he loved it when Yuzu made Pooh bowed together with him).

2015 Autumn Classic International Practice Oct 13-14

Seimei LP practice video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEjEd2HtKvk
This is a great video with back stage clips 151013 ACI Official Practice~Off & On Ice Practice
Rinkside image training: #1 , #2

SP Practice fancam https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iF2M_POBV9U
Yuzuru's free skate practice fancam: http://dai.ly/x39jxyv

https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x39k2vj , He's going through the program on the rink side. There's that TV cameraman filming him for quite a while (and then few others came out to probably take photos). They sure were amused.

I watched another practice video and I think his biellman looked so good in there. That first spin set was great. (this https://youtu.be/e50uDJP44QM 4.30 mark)

Some stuff I found on IG of today's practice:
Practicing off-ice
Team Brian
Talking to coach
Gorgeous 4T
The magical step sequence gifs in words of Moria Polonius and yyyskate
Casting the spell
Spread the magic dust
Mysterious foxy magician who's emerging from a victorious fight!
"break the hypnotic spell" move (with the ringer) http://makegif.com/g13nR#
at the bookend of his hypnotizing stsq, his flip of wrist is right with the ring sound. Genius idea!

btw: he also throw an effortless rocker there as well like no biggy. Like Mat said, transitions did not "scream" transition at all. instead, blend into his dance and whole program. I really like the music transition of his drum stsq to soft Japanese flute (this really tucks my heart from all those animes ).

Someone sent Misha an update on his appearances in Japanese magazines. No, I'm not posting this in the wrong thread, there's just no escape

Not a bit, one of the things many people complain about is that such difficult combo is not properly rewarded under the current judging system. His current jump BV is 8.5 (3A)+ 11.33 (4T*) + 11.33 (3Lz3T*) = 31.16
And if he were to change the 3T: 8.5 (3A) + 16.06 (4T3T*) + 6.6(3Lz*) = 31.16
It remains the exact same BV, but the 4T3T is regarded as a much more difficult combination than a 3Lz3T. But then, Yuzu always seems to have an easier time with difficult combinations than easier ones.

His solo 4T already gets seriously high GOEs, it would be difficult to go above what he already gets.

On the 4T-3T/3Lz vs 4T/3Lz-3T:

Adding the 3T to either to 4T or 3Lz may matter in case Yuzu falls on it. A fall on a 4T-3T would receive GOE factored according to quad scale and a fall on a 3Lz-3T would receive GOE factored according to the triple scale. Yuzu would lose less points if he messed up 3Lz-3T than if he messed up 4T-3T. Since his 4T-3T is an unknown teritory and chances are he could fall, it's maybe safer to stick to 3Lz-3T.

Umm, what did you mean by saying Seimei is going to be a challenge? From artistic point of view? That Seimei leaves overall stronger artistic impression than Chan's and Javi's LPs?

Sorry I was not very clear. To answer your question, yes. I think Seimei leaves a far stronger impression with the audience than does either Javi's or Patrick's free. In fact, I find Seimei to be transformative, with Hanoi's ability to not only bring technical and artistic skills to a performance, but also to bring the audience in on it to experience communally the skate as a piece of performance art. The only thing that I have seen for this season's free programs that came close to Seimei, in terms of programs being artistically transformative, was Shoma's FS. IMHO.

Sorry to be replying so late. Super busy with work and study.

sure its gonna be a challenge for Yuzuru but i guess that was Kansai's point? (i am sorry if i misunderstood you Kansai :p), when all skate clean who would you prefer artistically

Though I am biased, I would say that from what I have seen so far, Seimei is technically, artistically, and emotionally, the best program in FS.

I heard as you did. I think he said, after seeing Seimei this summer, although the free program of Javi and Patrick is good, in terms of artistic impression of these, he thinks Seimei will be unchallenged if it goes as planned."

KansaiPJ, please correct me if the above is not your point

Exactly! :cheer2:

yes I think that his point was " Seimei will be unchallenged"

:cheer:

Sorry I was a bit unclear in the video. Guess I was too tired and emotional at that moment...

He is way too cute in the CM! At least he is in a suit and we get to see him wink. Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks he looks great in that get-up...:slink:

I have the stream on stand-by!

Looking forward to the newly improved seasoned well oiled Seimei soon! Hopefully get wowed compare with initial impression.

Totally off topic, but bought some Yuzu Hagen-Daz today! I keep giggling as I read the label. Anyway is definitely my new fav flavour!! Just like Yuzuru's skating... delicious, tarty and punchy.

To be honest, this suit is 1000000% much better than the horror he wore in last year cm. It doesn't look bad on him.

Now, I hope the CM won't be stupid, this time.
Edit: Ooops, didn't see you posted it already. Well, it is stupid, but less than last year. Progress, progress, lmao!

:laugh2:

I agree with the white suit and like always his smile does look shinning nonetheless. :)
