There were some wonderful moments from the medal ceremony....i will write them up in my blog entry on the plane ride home...but one of them was Yuzu....after skating to center ice and bowing...he went to the podium, stopped, and instead of his usual jumping directly on it.....he took his right skate and tapped it to see if it was strong enough. Then he stepped onto it.

His performance looks great. I'm glad he skated well. I hope people (fans and non-fans) don't question his ability to skate a 3 quad program any more. It's a very challenging program, but it's managable as long as he becomes stronger as the season progresses.

Looks like no trauma for our boy right there. I remember the practice videos that he had last season where he suddenly scurried away from Maxim (?).
This clip is on-line, I saw it pop up on a facebook page. It's very cute.
As well as the clip with the Nam comparing their heights and Yuzuru sort of pushing Nam's hair down.

A bit off-topic, but still noteworthy, IMHO: (at least for the current competition-hype): Eurosport have the Skate Canada SPs listed, and they will be aired LIVE. During the evening/ night in Europe, but definitely live. I expect the FSs to get a similar treatment. Yay for live Yuzuru Hanyu viewing!

Just woke up and got to the LP+Kiss&Cry. Honestly, it went better than expected. A pity for the two 4T, but we'll see how he'll do next time. I agree on putting 4T-2T after 4S, but yeah I also doubt he'll makes the changes (except if Brian and Shae convince him to). Good thinking to change the layout and do 3Lo-1Lo-3S after that 3A stepout. Remins me of WTT where he changed too after doing 3T instead of 4T, and thus avoiding zayaking.
Now that he has done the program in competition, he'll get to work on the mistakes before SC.
And goodness, he was VERY chatty but happy in the K&C, lol! So cute! To the point, he forgot to have Pooh waving... though it was funny that, OF COURSE, Papa Orser was holding Pooh, hehe.

But yeah, he really didn't notice the hand, and Sean noticed he didn't notice too. 
Finally got a chance to watch Yuzu's FS and think he did a great job for his first competition this year. I don't know why but I felt worried about his 4T since after his surgery and Worlds last year, hoping the issues he had with it here are due to some of those transitions and that he'll nail them again.
I like the costume and I think it helps complete the program, the only thing is I think the loose sleeves sometimes hide or mask his beautiful movements in comparison to what we saw during his first practice in his training gear.
