ok, pulse coming back to normal. great skate, great fight. And a silver medal makes sure that I don't have to completely freak out from now until December. I don't need that, my blood pressure has suffered enough these past two days :drama:

Silver medal? Who cares! All I care is the fact he landed the 3 quads! THE 3 QUADS!!! And he did it on his first GP competition! Way to go, and what a come back!

Well, when you have Patrick vs Yuzuru and others also delivering, there's bound to be discussion. But I think that, aside of some people's insistence (that was honestly becoming insulting), there's nothing out of the ordinary there. :laugh:

Woohoo! Silver medal, he's right on track for the Grand Prix Final!

He could even have won it tonight - Chan only did 1 quad and 1 triple axel... but he was totally on fire, so his GoE went through the roof, and so did his PCS. Hanyu was right to consider Chan among his strongest competitors. He needs clean programs to beat Chan on TES, cos it looks like winning on PCS is a lost cause...

Thankyou for the info. Will he be coming to those you mentioned?(COC,TEB and COR?) or he doesn't NEED to? Sorry- I kind of have no idea about how this sport works. :shrug:

Their FS scores were actually quite close there, seems like more because Patrick had a 7 point lead. Give them a neutral ground like Barcelona and it would be even closer. He just needed to be a little bit more polished and he's got it, perhaps he would not get higher PCS than Patrick but close enough for his TES to do the job, something more than achievable in time for NHK and the GPF

Hi guys, I'm so glad Yuzu is on podium *_* I can't really enjoy my weekend because I was so nervous and after SP I got a little breakdown so I was just laying in bed lmao I also afraid to check twitter and this forum because some people sent negatives vibes

Can someone explain to me or point to me where I can read about how the skater can be qualified to GPF? Like how many points they need in two grand prix etc..

Btw I saw the protocol and judge no 3 is ridicolous at giving points to yuzu (-1 on 3a+1lo+3s and 8.5 max for his pcs? *rolleyes*) or is it just me?

No, he only goes to NHK

Don't worry at all, but no hehe skaters only go to two events to qualify for the GPF, he can't go to more than two. Some other top skaters will go to those events

There is no minimum of points, the 6 skaters who get the highest scores get to go (and 3 alternates). This is based on podium placements: 1st gets 15 points, 2nd 13 pts and so on. A skater can earn a maximum of 30 points (if he wins both events). But if Yuzu podiums at NHK I'd say he's in.

I'm just so happy right now. I was seriously thinking, "Well, he'll probsbly stay in 6th at the very least," but it was so awful to think of him being out of the podium. I just wanted him to podium. He committed some mistakes, but it's alright, it's his first GP event and I wouldn't want him peaking here yet, he has a lot of room to improve. It does show, though, just how much toll a 3-quad program takes on him. He was running out of steam by the 4T-2T in the second half, and the 3Lz at the end he could have done if he weren't so exhausted. Shame about the pop on the 3A combo. I do hope he gets more comfortable with the Seimei program and the Chopin program, because both are so lovely, and I hope that come the end of the season we'll see clean renditions of both so he can get the 100/200/300.

Well done, kid! Now go rest on a bed of Pooh bears.
