I only use Google translate, but apparently It says at SC Yuzuru refused to talk to Japanese journalist in Japanese, and only talked to foreign journalists in English, and that Yuzuru only believed in Mr. Kikuchi because he's a Feng Shui specialist and that there's a dead fly on the ice so his balance was broken...etc.
My friend tells me this reporter is always like that, last year the same reporter lied a lot about CoC too.
Is there anyway to report this article to Russian site so they won't publish this kind of inaccuracies again? I hope Russian posters will help.

Unfortunately this journalist seems not to be a huge fan of his. So if you read her passages about Yuzuru- some of them are based on rumours that she's is being told by one of her journal constant visitors and friends (who has access to Japanese press and TV). She is one of the top journalists in Russian sports press, especially among those who write about figure skating. She is an Olympic champion herself, not in figure skating.
I prefer to pass on her comments about Yuzuru. She's definitely not in the know about him. AT ALL.
sorry, but this is just :rofl2: the day the kid says "I want to speak only English and no Japanese at all"...... then we all better take cover and say our prayers. That'll be the 7th sign for sure.

At skate Canada Yuzuru had hand down on quad toe, fell on lutz, missed 3T on combo, some shaky landings, was underscored in PCS, Javi had mistake on quad sal, fall on quad sal, Yuzu had way more mistakes right? Results: Yuzuru 186, Javi 177. How it is Javi's to loose when Yuzu with mistakes + underscored can beat him with 9 points? or do you think they will give Patrick 88 and Yuzu 85 PCS in Barcelona ? (Javi was given 90+ Pcs because at COC he was one head ahead of others, while Yuzu and Patrick are same calibre skaters)

That was not my point....I just think that Javier'll handle pressure better than last year. Yuzuru has really difficult entries to all of his jumps in SP (in LP also btw)- that's why I don't think we're gonna to see clean Ballade in current form (I want to be wrong on this one!). Javier just had really solid SP and I think he's in great shape. At this moment of season Fernandez - IMO- looks in better condition than both Yuzuru and Patrick. He has two really great programs and judges clearly enjoy both of them. I love Yuzuru's skating but I want to see him skate clean just once...both programs...I don't think judges will give Yuzu's PCS on pair with Javi's or Chan's when he won't deliver jumps (like in Canada when he had the best PCS in short program). Anyways I'm looking forward to NHK. I wish great skates to all skaters!

Javier wasn't clean either and I don't think he is on better shape, if you have seen Yuzu's practice run throughs, he was awesome that sp was just unlucky.well, remember the case of quad salchow when it was guaranteed fall, now it is money jump... Yuzuru will make it and deliver clean Chopin I have no doubts about him, and as Unico said if you follow Yuzuru for a couple of years you will know that this is his best first gp ever. As for PCS I dont think Javer's PCS will be higher than Yuzuru, in their best days Chan will score 96, Hanyu 93, Fernandez 92

Well...I don't want to argue...I just wanted to express my opinion. I follow Yuzuru's career long enough to know that he's picking later in the season and that's great I want to see the same pattern this season. About PCS - I'm just saying that Yuzuru no longer has edge on the field in it. We have great, talented skaters and Yuzuru (as any other skater) need to deliver his jumps in order to win. Unfortunately with his current transitions it's mostly unlikely to have great quality on all of his jumps and superb interpretation, flow across the ice. I know that he loves to challenge himself and I admire this side of him...I just wish him to live up to his potential.

It's not like his rivals are more consistent or cleaner than Yuzuru either. Look at Javi today, do you think he was better than Yuzuru at SC last week? Javi got huge PCs because he's top of the field in that CoC. And Patrick... There might be the possibility that SC is his best competition in this season and that's it.
It's not like all the top men often deliver more than Yuzuru. In fact they're all the same and given Yuzuru's history, he is actually more consistent than many. Men FS has come down to the state who has less mistakes will win. Yuzuru has highest BV among top men, so his fate is in his hands. He doesn't rely in PCS and GOE as Patrick. As long as Yuzuru delivers well, judges can't deny him any medal he deserves.

I totally agree - men are prone to mistakes and even recent world champions did not skate clean. I just think that Yuzuru has two wonderful and memorable programs but some transitions are over the top and he's literally killing his chances to skate both of them clean. I can imagine clean Ballade, clean Seimei...Both of them could make a statement that Yuzuru is one of the greatest skaters we've ever seen and cut all of these ridiculous discussion about him being one of the most overscored skater in history

I think we should all live with this sentiment and cope with it because this will always happens when it comes to Yuzuru. It's the path he choosed for his career, I mentioned exactly this sentiment in a couple of pages back. The most logical think would be strive for clean performances but he's setting extremely high standars that he can seldom execute in competition. Realistically speaking, with the current programs composition I really don't think we'll ever see the 2 clean in one competition. Yuzuru's latest clean competition was ... Well .... at Junior Worlds 2010 ... Of course some still consider this possibility because they ""trust"" him or something like that and I understand, at the end anything is possible just not likely. But I cant really have this mentality, I just prefer to relax wait for a miracle to happen at GPF/Worlds when he could have at least one of them near clean.
It's incredibly frustrating but that's just how it is.

Well, what's frustrating me most... is he can nail perfectly quads easily, then on go to nails perfect 3A combos, be on path to cross 200 points in free....... and then fall on a 3lz

I am just wondering why top class coach and top class student doesn't know all these, if he is going for such layout this means that it is 80% and more stable on practices, do you know why Yuzuru didn't ditch his quad salchow? because he was consistently landing them on practices. Personally I prefer to believe in his A class team. I don't think Yuzuru is that stubborn kid that he wants to bite more than he is able to swallow and Orser lets him do everything without having plan A,B, C, I am just happy that I have the opportunity to see this prodigy with my own eyes, the way he started his career and the way he continues to develop, yes he might loose some GPs, loose GPF, WC but once he will be back where he belongs. I will quote Wei from icenetwork about Yuzuru: "Right, usual, not too hard, not too wild, and not too much. When you act like yourself you're back to where you belong". His goal is far ahead than 2015 GP series. I choose to believe him, he never frustrates me.

What a great quote from Wei! I also agree that losing in some competitions is almost inevitable, but I believe he has wisdom beyond his years and his eyes are for the Olympic gold. The only thing I'm concerned with is that in this two competitions, and in some of them last season, I start to sense pressure and stress from yuzu (I don't know if I'm too sensitive or what), I just hope he can enjoy competitions like he did in the past and don't give himself too much pressure....

I feel exactly the same. Just one correction. This quote is what Yuzu said at K&C after his FS at SC. You can hear Yuzu saying it in the video quite clearyl thanks to that MIC. I don't remember exactly how wei wrote her article but she must be quoteing Yuzu's words and maybe rephrased it there. His intellect just amazes me always. I chose to believe him, too.:gclap:
I think it's the right path for him to set the bar high TES wise, and work towards hitting it. If he doesn't, someone like Boyang will catch up to him come 2018.

But I do believe
that if Yuzu is in good shape at gpf and world, he should get about 95+190. I'm not expecting two clean programs. Just two okay performances will give him gold. His only enemy is his mentality. He thinks too much, he wants too much, which caused the disastrous SP at SC. If he can be a little bit less competitive in his heart, relax more, don't care about others, he'll be the absolute king on the ice. But for now, he's still not mentally stable. We don't know if he'll be overexcited when he meets Boyang at nhk, or at gpf and worlds. So we'd better lower our expectations, enjoy the elements he does well (eg. 3A) and accept the failures (eg. 3lz)......

IMO, Yuzuru and his team is moving very strategically. It might sound extreme but they can use this season just for Yuzuru's development without thinking the results too seriously, excepting the Worlds to get back three spots for Japan. Of course Yuzuru will never give up to win in every competition, but still they have some leeway.
They (Team Brian for Yuzuru) seem to be trying difficult transitions or entries to jumps, and if it is found that any of them does not work or less deserved, I'm sure they will change it eventually.
Anyway, have you guys seen that crazy entry before the second 3A combo in FS? :reye:
Of course I liked it, but honestly it is one of the entries I want him to give up :roll5:
