Hi, I've been lurking for a while, but the arguments on this thread have been becoming very interesting since GPS started. They are really like the conflicts of an optimistic Me vs. a pessimistic Me in my brain. So I have nothing to add to what you guys've stated so far.
Just let me quote the tweet, which amused me and calmed my nerve:

Being a fangirl of Yuzuru is like being questioned again and again as below:
Do you swear by all that is holy that you will be an enthusiastic admirer of Yuzuru Hanyu? ---I do!
Do you promice to love and trust (and cherish) him, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, for better for worse, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto him, for as long as he lives in the competitive field (and ever after)?---I do!

Guys, can you say "I do."?:)

:cheer2:

Welcome!!!And to be frank, when it comes to yuzu, I'm really in confusion emotionally, on one hand, I want to be optimistic and I know he's wise beyond his year, but on the other hand, I feel worried about him all the time too! Idk how to describe well but I think you did it for me, it's really like an inner battle between positive and negative me.....

Sorry if I'm not making sense.....

Since the beginning of the season i had the feeling Yuzuru don´t like his SP anymore. Too much bad memories. But maybe it´s just me:shrug:

Welcome Victor! I like very much your post! :)
I can say I do because I admire very much not only the skater but the person with a very beautiful soul. He works hard and fights at every contest and he loves to skate with so much passion. Yuzuru is the greatest skater of all time.

But overall he needs better stamina to maintain speed during whole program, I also notice he was deadly tired after 3A1Lo3S. And he was noticeably slower after fall in 3lz. His spin right after that was affected by the fall too.

Stamina, stamina, stamina. That really is the key for Yuzu. He CAN do all the jumps with the difficult transitions. It is within his ability to execute with positive GOE's. The problem is when in a competitive situation he cannot pause and glide for a moment like he does in practice and then pick up the program 20-30 seconds later. He has to keep going, while feeling the pressure and the eyes of the judges on him. All of the above takes a tremendous amount of energy which he doesn't have near the end of his programs. Hopefully he's working hard on this and possibly hitting the gym to increase his strength.

Dear all, first of all I would like to express my gratitude to links, comments, information, and etc. that are provided by you guys. you are amazing:clapper:, I have been enjoying reading this thread and l like it more and more. So, as a long time lurker, I have braced myself to send a post here.
Yuzu , with his asthma problem, will always face a challenge in his stamina. If we look at his isu bio , we may find that he actually practises for 12-14 hours per week only , as compared to others who will have at least 25 hours /per week , some even have more than 30 hours . So, with a shorter training time ( probably he would done more if physical condition permits) and yet he can manage his competition and even medaled. I find it amazing, it is like knowing you are at a worse condition and still keep on , throwing in all you might, venturing the possibilities, this fighting spirit has inspired me . Knowing the odds, and still try harder , work harder, and made every competition a possiblity to win, this is the Yuzu that I know and I salute him from the bottom from my heart.
I will definitely say " I do "

Welcome Iceflyer65! All of us on this forum love Yuzu and have tremendous respect for him. My understanding is his asthma is being treated and the symptoms are less severe than when he was younger. This is common with those that are afflicted as a child. We have seen him in the past train specifically to increase his stamina and he has been able to do so fairly successfully. I have every confidence that he will overcome his issues this season (as long as he is not sidelined due to injury) and will show us two beautiful programs very soon. Go Yuzu! :hap36:

Welcome! :ghug:

Can someone refresh my memory please, I seem to recall there was this thing about skating with the mask on that was supposed to help with stamina or his asthma control? I don't know anything regarding this, but I remember seeing him putting his mask on near the end of the OP while he skates around some more. Is it to help with/improve his condition in that regard? :scratch2:

Seems like he has also had eating issues these days (look at the perleche on his mouth), along with his asthma, so that he seemed to lose his weight and stamina even more at SC.
Hopefully, he is freed from the suffering as soon as possible. :con3:

He said that somewhere, when in the end of the last season, he had already decided to keep it for next season. That can be said how he is willing to do Chopin cleanly one day.
