A bit teary myself...

Even he must be amazed at what he has accomplished. Despite his lead in the SP, he must have been putting pressure on himself to put out a FP that satisfies his own exacting standards. And to skate like that after his fiercest rivals skated so splendidly (congratulations btw to Javier who finally performed the way he is capable of before his home crowd) shows the kind of competitor he is. He truly has a warrior's heart.

Aaaah, my heart was pounding! I was trying to write a paper during the whole Men's Free Skate because it worked during NHK ("when I do hard work and don't look at Yuzuru he does well" mentality), but my heart was pounding around the time I knew Yuzu would be skating and I just had to check to see how it went. I'm so relieved that everything went well. Haha, better than well -- he broke his record again! And Javi broke the 200 point barrier too! You go Cricket Brothers!

OK, I'll patiently wait for the video to surface while I go back to writing with a large smile on my face.

Holy! I just checked the scores and WOW!! I haven't watched the performances yet since I'm about to board a plane at the airport, but I'm super psyched about both Yuzu and Javi's accomplishments! Amazing competition overall and congrats for achieving another WR Yuzuru!
