I just can't find the words to describe how I feel after Yuzu's performance. What a brilliant performance. I thought NHK would be his greatest performance ever... but after two weeks BAM!!!!! I think Yuzu was possessed with the divine powers of Abe No Seimei!!!! I just can't imagine the immense pressure that he was feeling... and then those tears at the k&c, tears of relief, joy (I just also can't contain my tears)... Kudos also to Javi and Shoma. There are just so many cute podium moments during the victory ceremony

And btw, at the last part of the press con, were they asking Yuzu to go to doping? (I think this is mandatory for competitions like this, right?) (somebody please correct me if I'm wrong), but I was imaging something like Men In Black-ish type of thing, and somebody telling Yuzu (in a robotic voice): Mr. Hanyu, we have to take a blood(or are they using urine?) sample to know if you're really human or for us to know from what planet you came from! :laugh2:

if he really gonna retire after 2018.. just thinking about how sad that gonna be...:sad21:
We should be happy to witness such a legend maturing before our eyes. We shouldn't be greedy.

I have watched FS since 6.0, since Kwan, Plushy and Yags. I have to say this time is the most exciting time to live as a FS fan.

And what's so great about Yuzuru's wins today? Because despite the fact that all his biggest competitors were clean before him, and to skate last, he still won the competition by over 38 points. Now, this is what makes this win a legend, and this is the kind of competition Yuzuru loves to win.

If it makes you feel better, he did say it was not for sure :)

But as a fan of him and his skating, even though I believe no one will ever perform like Yuzu and I wish to see him skate more, I honestly don't believe his body can handle another Olympic cycle after this. I wish him to be healthy above all else ;)

I have long accepted the possibility that might retire post 2018 and I support him no matter what road he chooses to take. It has been my honor and privilege just being able to watch him through these years. My only regret is not finding him sooner. I cannot ask for any more. As long as he is happy and healthy, that is all I wish for.

Where does Hanyu even go from here?

Move 4t-3t to the 2nd half of the SP (this season, after national most likely),
more clean 3-quad LP performances for the rest of this season,
add 4Lo to the Lp (next season),
add 4Lo to the SP (maybe next season or the following season),
and maybe 4 quads in the LP (maybe next season or the following season).

but he doesn't have to do a full cycle after 2018. He could choose to come back ,like, in 2020. Winning gold at 22OG isn't that important if he already has two and he still can try his best to compete. Another thing is if he retires at '18 ,he still has the time to achieve something different in later life, but '22 he would have few alternative but to turn pro, which frankly is kindda boring.

Another great moment caught from yesterday's SP: this poster saw Javi's family giving Hanyu-san a standing O after Hanyu-san's performance; such a classy family!

Caption this--
Papa Fernandez: Woho! That's our son's SKATING WIFE!
Mama Fernandez: Hush will you? Just keep clapping there (Inside: 'I'd prefer D-I-L as in Daughter..In..Law')
Sister Fernandez: I'm just a fangirl so go ahead Mom and Dad.

well, one comment on Skating lesson fb made my day , someone said that this performance wouldn't even made top10 at Worlds if Hanyu wouldn't be japanese :rofl2:
Some people in this world are amazing for me
My simple reaction.http://24.media.tumblr.com/6ecd08cf8262849d4399671814264230/tumblr_n0rv2cYscB1s9qwmco2_250.gif

The birthdate is also Javi's hahahahaha
Well, that's what we call CONJUGAL PROPERTY :yahoo:

Seriously what happened to him  :handw:

His inconsistent jump 4s became consistent, and he got rid of his other problematic jump, 3Lz in the SP. He was never as inconsistent at people suggested. He only struggled with 1 or 2 "nemesis" jumps per season. Once those "nemesis" jumps become consistent or get replaced, he will skate clean or close to clean much more frequently. (He skated PW multiple times 2-3 seasons ago because he did not include any "nemesis" jumps in that program.)

So i just went a bit crazy and bought a ticket for Worlds 2016 in Boston. Though i have difficulty finding a hotel. Did anyone book Hyatt Regency by chance and/or want to share a room?
Please don't hesitate to write in PM. :)

Shoma is good, is confident.....remind me Yuzu at 17 years of age.....next champion after "Yuzu Era ", ?:scratch2:

Yuzu is technically superior than Shoma at the same age. A teenage Yuzu was also technically much superior than many senior skaters who were older than him. (IMO, he was already technically the best in the field when he was only 17-18.) There are many young skaters with good potential and skills. IMO, a skater needs superior technical skills than the rest of the field to become a champion. Right now, I don't see Shoma's technical skill being much superior than the other junior skaters or newbie seniors. IMO, Sota has more potential.

My niece came to me and I was so happy for Yuzu...... when I told her the results, she said: I know Yuzu is a god of skating ! Did he came from another planet?
I don't know but seemes to me that "Yes " is the answer!
aww..:o: your niece is adorable!

My normal reaction to Yuzuru is awe and respect, this is the first time ever I think he is cute and, seriously, I want to eat him alive:eeking:
Ahh! Please don't! Although he made my FIRST WISH wish for his birthday come true, MY SECOND WISH has not been fulfilled yet!(remember your Hanyu grandkids?) So just..please find a Yuzu-shaped cookie for now, then you can eat it.*grins*

YUZU: Javi, duck!('get down!')
JAVI:Huh?I'm not Duck, I'm Spanish!
SHOMA: And I just had the most embarassing MC in my entire life.*cries*

[QUOTE The caption reads: This really needs a caption: Yuzuru Hanyu pinching Shoma Uno’s cheek, to make him smile to the photographers during the press conference.
[/QUOTE]

ATTENTION EVERYONE! Yuzuru Hanyu is a BULLY! (A very cute bully!)
