Hey Everyone! Happy New Year ( it is 2016 for me already :hap93: )

I have been lurking around for a while, and FINALLY decided post on here! I guess since it's a new year?

Seeing Yuzu on Kohaku was awesome! It was great seeing him having some fun(singing/dancing along to the songs), as he really needed some time to rest after all those competitions haha! My favorite moments: Seimei vs Darth Vader and also Yuzu's face when he saw Bump of Chicken!

Hey Everyone! Happy New Year ( it is 2016 for me already :hap93: )

I have been lurking around for a while, and FINALLY decided post on here! I guess since it's a new year?

Seeing Yuzu on Kohaku was awesome! It was great seeing him having some fun(singing/dancing along to the songs), as he really needed some time to rest after all those competitions haha! My favorite moments: Seimei vs Darth Vader and also Yuzu's face when he saw Bump of Chicken!

What a great way to ring in the new years Post long and often

I am the same as some of Japanese posters here, I haven’t seen the show for years.
Despite the show was quite loooong and boring a bit, this time I had to recording it because of Yuzuru! I will be busy to catch him when I edit it.
and according to the some comments here, now I am looking forward to watching the show :yay:

I think Jrocker have some sort of fountain of youth secrets....so many of their leads NEVER age. Hyde, Gackt, Mana, Miyavi :shocked:

I actually still watch the Kouhaku every year.: Growing up in Hawaii, it was always on television when we visited my aunties & uncles homes on New Years. Then about 15 years ago I started listening to jpop and some enka and began watching it yearly in it's entirety. Looking forward to the local broadcast tonight. Yuzuru's appearance will make it extra special for me this year.

Still only the eve here in the U.S. but wishing all of you a wonderful and safe Happy New Year.

Well, not necessarily I think. He may prefer equally many genres of music, though for building the competitive mindset he listens mostly to rock and other ultra energetic music.
Btw, he sang along one more song there... "Sakura something" I don't remember, twitter reacted strongly to that. I've seen comments like "how does he know this song? " "Hanyu-kun is a fan of this song, how come? that's another side of him." it was amusing

And likewise with L'arc of course I'll always have a soft spot because they did the intro for Fullmetal Alchemist, one of my favorite anime.

And I feel you on the fountain of youth thing. I was watching Gackt on Bunraku and was thinking the same thing. I bet you Yuzu will hold up just as well. He still looks so young. I'm definitely digging the new hair though. Particularly here http://www.asahi.com/articles/photo/AS20160101000054.html he looks really handsome and since I'm an old fart at 30 he's always just looked just "cute" to me in a boyish sense.

Being a huge live music person myself, I always wonder if Hanyu-san ever gets to go to concerts of bands he likes, and it was an excellent opportunity last night to listen to live music and for us to see what he look like when he does! :luv17:

I love seeing him having such a good time! That dailymotion clip has since been removed but I can still gather from pieces of gif here and there.

The song is Senbonzakura which is a VOCALOID original song. Let me tell ya'll, Yuzuru has IMPECTABLE taste The song has a deep meaning as well...regarding colonization and the Japanese culture..

Bkgrd info: Vocaloid is a singing synthesizer where normal people can use the preset individual sounds of the specific characters and create their own songs and some advance creators also do music videos, etc. Its a sub-culture but sometimes songs can reach the general public and become exteremly popular, which brings about remakes by real artists. And popular dances. Vocaloid characters can also have hologram concerts
