Now that 4CC is over Japan tv is back to airing lots of Yuzu clips.
Shoma talks about what path to take, compliments Boyang for his amazing jumps but says, I'll never be able to be like that, so the path that I must take is more to be a all-around skater, like Yuzu-kun and get good PCS and GOEs.
remember when we all saw the mysterious foxy magician for the first time
I think this 4S https://twitter.com/thehabuyuyumi/status/701557961194209280 is the best I've seen from Yuzuru. When I was watching the competition I thought it was a 3S,because it was so effortless and he rotates so fast,in that moment I wasn't able to count the revolutions ; even on the Spanish TV, Susana said 3S
I agree with you.
It's late to post, but I found this.

Some people criticize Yuzuru for not pointing his toe, however there's a poster from Fsuniverse saying the kind of boots Yuzuru is wearing (Edea Ice Fly) isn't easy to point toe at all, here is a part of his post:
I cannot point my toe at all in the Risport RF2 Supers I have, or the Edea Concertos. Period. Edea has improved the Concerto by lowering the back a little and padding it, but the Ice Fly is still rather high (this is what Hanyu wears).
Edea is made by the people who used to own Risport, so it doesn't surprise me that the two share some design characteristics (how they look is irrelevant compared to how they "fit," IMO).
In another comment, he said:
Of course in theory Yuzuru can still try to point his toe even without the boots he is using but he has many other issues to pay attention to.I have Risport and Edea boots here... And there is no way you can flex those boots that way... This is why Edea added the padding to the Concerto, they were absolutely horrible until they added that.

Another Student of Waseda University who is the same age as Yuzu has recently won the World Championships in the individual medley swimming category. He says his hero is Yuzu, he also suffered an operation last season and Yuzu's recovery from injury has been an inspiration to him. -He's going to aim for the Gold Medal at Rio later this year at the Olympics.

On the first of March, Yuzu will feature in a memorial TV show for the earthquake in 2011. Pre-recorded of course.
A recent survey from The Japan news http://the-japan-news.com/news/article/0002764807 Yuzuru is the second most popular athlete, behind Nishikori. And the article also says that figure skating is the most popular sport in Japan

Yesterday Yuzuru left for Canada
Hi, This is a partial translation of Brian Orser's forward to his book "Team Brian". Very sincere and courteous; just what I would expect to read from him. Blessings on the translator.

Florent mentions Yuzu in the latest interview:
Florent Amodio: "You skate like this only once in a lifetime"

Demitri Aliev, lists Yuzu as a goal to reach, and also talks about how the top skaters 'kill' in practice. -It's in Russian so could a Russian speaker translate it more accurately?

This is the original interview with Aliev and here are Yuzuru related parts translated by Marina Khevkh from YHIFG
This year made many experienced skaters get down to the ground thanks to the incredible skating of Yuzuru Hanyu and six quads of Jin Boyang. What are your thought about it as a junior?
- Yes, this is the supreme elite of figure skating. Yuzuru Hanyu, Patrick Chan, Javier Fernández they skate at unimaginable level, and I have no choice. I have only one thing to do, to try achieving the same results somehow. I am driven to figure skating that’s why I don’t feel fear when I see Hanyu.
-Jumping like him so organic, naturally in program is this reality, is it achievable?
- It is necessary to set goals, but do not look forward to see what happens.
Masters like Patrick and Yuzuru know what to do . They "kill" not even after entering the ice; they do it already in the warm-up. We, juniors, look up to them and try to do the same. To put out the rival is necessary before entering the rink on warm up. Even his look may affect another skater, but usually we try not to face the eyes.
I am not a skater of that level yet, Yuzuru Hanyu has so many records, right now there is almost no competition for him, but when a rival appears, he wont stop and wait, he will do something new, because he is the highest level., and he will not give what belongs to him I am still far from this company of world figure skating.
So which one to chase Northug or Hanyu? (Petter Northug Jr. is a Norwegian cross country skier Dima's idol)
They're both incredible, two superior in different sports. Well ... it's hard to answer. Yuzuru Hanyu – insane level. Petter Northug - crazy level. Difficult question.
