I have a feeling he is preparing himself to do 4S in the 2nd half of the SP next season. He tried to do 4T in the 2nd half of SP and it didn't work for him. So I think he wants to do 4S instead of 4T in the 2nd half of SP in the future.

I guess he trusts his 4S more than his 4T now. He did say he believes his 4S will be more stable than his 4T in the future.
