Since I am new, anybody here have any idea when did he usually announce his SP/LP for next season? As in who will choreograph it and what kind of music will he choose? Sorry if this has been asked before :slink:

has it already posted?

jsf chief kobayashi says he's in Toronto and rest.
his schedule about summer shows hasn't yet been decided.
she further says about the injury she wants him to concentrate on the treatment.

It's a good thing , I know he enjoys shows but this means JSF is placing his health first and not forcing him to participate,It means he's free to decide about ice shows this is good to know, I hoped to see new program at DOI, but his health is most important , if he rejects it I can wait till the competition :)

I just feel like his injury is more serious that they let us know. During Worlds so many people said that Javier was injured but after competition he went on tour with Star on Ice. Javier's schedule is pack for months. I guess his injury was jus a minor one. In Yuzu's case - there must be something more serious. Of course it's just my opinion and I want to believe that he's resting right know after all hard work he's done.

It's not more serious that they told us, it's a tendon injury so of course it's serious...
In Javier's case it was an injury caused by the boots (if I remember well), quite painful on the moment but easy to cure I suppose. For Yuzuru, I think he need time and rest in order to heal his tendon (otherwise it will be worse in the future).

just the same. i'm so relieved he can rest fully. jsf feels to put his health first priority. i love his shows and i miss him for some time, but seeing him at competition in good shape is most important. :)

Ah..ok. Thank you for clarification.

Yes, I agree. He's had so many demands on him, I'm really glad that he's not being pressured to start skating again right away. There's time, and his body and mind need to rest.

If it was light he wouldn't have taken a month off to heal, tendon needs from 1 month to 6 month, it is off season so he has more than enough time, next year is pre olympic, very important , so he should be super healthy. This injury is tricky if you don't recover totally, it may come back at a worst moment. I am so relieved that JSF focuses on his health.
Also: Yuzu is talking about 4Lo and 2 quads in the second half , the injury is not TOO serious

No problem....everybody is worried :( Me too. But objectively, a tendon damage can't be cured in two weeks, especially if it was hurting since 3 months.
We need to be strong :ghug:

Does anyone know what are the routes/roads in Sendai for Yuzu's 2014 Olympic parade, want to add that to Trail of Yuzuru Hanyu?

the place is " higashi niban street, aoba-ku , sendai-shi".
仙台市青葉区の東二番丁通

I'm sorry to say this but I think that Chopin has been wearing out this season both for him and for some of his fans, for me at least. I loved this program last season but this season I sort of lost connection to it, it became more technically advanced sure and he beat WR with it twice but I have to confess- I got tired of it which never happenned with Parisienne Walkways. PW had so much wild and engaging energy I couldn't have enough of it. And Chopin did not bring the same feeling with me. Again- it's just my feeling of it. I hope the new SP will have this PW luring, saucy, bubbly kind of energy, you know, for people to jump around before it, during it and surely afterwards.

I'm guessing that if he's going for a jazzy piece, he's preparing for something more upbeat for the Olympics. I get what you mean about Chopin, and to me his version at the 2014 GPF remains the one I connect to the best (he seemed to be floating somehow, and even with the fall, he seemed to be pure joy and peace of mind on this one). But doing it two years in a row allowed him to acquire a technical mastery that will be very useful at the Olympics. Moreover, since he changed the layout, it was the same and not the same programme at the same time, so I didn't feel bored with it. But yep, it's time to change ^^ I can't wait to see what he'll bring next!

I think those two mega quads in the second half of LP is a matter of a wishful thinking at the moment. I know he aims high in the sky but he has to be super patient and very careful with his health and stamina to fly in the outer space with all those quads happenning seconds before he strikes a final pose.
Unfortunately that injury is tricky and it can repeat in case he is not patient enough to heal it well. I hope everybody involved in a process of leading him to a second Oly gold understand that.

he's in Thailand recently. i dont know if he's already back.
( btw, have you seen his interview at thai which marin posted? https://youtu.be/6OQnijoOAwg
Yeah, I've seen it. Days away, Brian should be back by now I suppose. Anyway Brian is not his choreographer so...
Just thinking... what if Yuzu goes back to David Wilson (to "unbreak his heart") to do a LP? Then we might have another warhorse LP... what you think?

Me think

Remember Orser's interview with IceNetwork (21March) about Yuzu injury "Hanyu was away from Toronto for three months before returning Feb. 26 with a sore instep on his left foot that since has healed."
It did not heal isn't it? Because we can see from Jounetsu Tairiku tv program that he has a slight injury as he was not doing well in Toronto training. :palmf:
