I hope he stays hidden for a while and really rests his foot. No rushing to get back just for ice shows and off ice obligations. Hope he is wise enough to think long term... some younger athletes can be very impatient to get back out there and only realize later that they rushed things...
Staying in Toronto gives him rest for his foot, a chance to figure out music and choreography for the season (less back and forth travelling), rest from media etc., time to focus on school work... and a perfect opportunity to practice his english.

I like your thinkin', liv! I also hope he is really thinking about his training patterns too. Hopefully the subject isn't too touchy. I'd like to think he knows what's best for himself, but it seems so erratic all the time he tends to split between being in Japan and Canada. I feel like Javi doesn't seem to go back to Spain nearly as often. And I haven't seen how being away from his coach for months helped matters. I understand being in demand and stuff, but around NHK and GPF he had a really good groove going for himself and he just couldn't sustain it. Again, I don't claim to know all of the answers but I do wonder if they'll consider taking a look at his schedule during the back half of the season. Maybe it's at the very least worth an experiment.

I agree with you. At this time Yuzu just need to manage your time wisely.
Yuzu, I know how much you love this sport and how you like to be in Japan, but please do only what is possible and healthy for you. We love you and we are sending you lots of love and positive energy for you to fully recover and be very happy doing what love most, which to be skating. Ganbatte! You are capable. You will get it. You're a winner.

True, time goes by so fast…I'm just glad to know that its only 2 months of treatment/rest instead of 6 months because that would its bad if it is the later. But as others said at least he can take those time to start early on the new music. Will he really do Jazz? or perhaps he change his mind and do something like anime songs instead..... I can't believe its the Olympic berth season already
Mnn…Choreography works from the end of April (2015 SP) to May (2014,2015F, 2014SP) are his routine for the past years. His injury may affect the schedule. Anyway, his possible choreographers are in Canada, so it must be respectively easy to discuss or make plans. Further, he’s bright and learns coreos by heart quickly (When I go to see ice shows, some skaters don’t remember the choreography totally like finale or group number. I’m always impressed with yuzu. He’s the center of shows, and has not just opening or finale, but has corroboration program from time to time. But he always does all perfectly!

Being said like that is truly an honor for yuzu… He always says he want people to feel and receive something from his performances.
His words right after that GPF 2015 performances,
“I feel relieved so much since I’ve struggled with various pressures so fur. It’s delightful that people praise the performances of the world records as the best, but the purpose for which I keep skating is different. If you are moved by my performances or come to love them more, I can work harder and harder.”

This makes me think back to video of him at the airport in Boston with Americans looking around like "What the heck is going on? Who is this kid?"
It's not like Yuzu walks around blinged with shades on and stuff, trying to look important.

In addition to the report of his injury yesterday, ANA says he is going to concentrate on the treatment in Toronto without coming back to Japan.
Further, about ice shows, they have the view that he’ll keep from ice shows for the time being, and will report about his condition around the middle of May."
I'm so relieved that the official announcement about ice shows was disclosed. It's not good for him that any speculation about his show's schedule continues among funs or so.

yes, I hope he has a fruitful time planning the next season and resting, and doing schoolwork.
He loves to do shows, but he'll have ample time for as many shows as he wants once he retires.

I’ve heard that sort of thing.
If his visa is visitor visa, the permitted term to stay is 6 months and he cannot re-entry for 2 months once he leaves Canada. If it is work visa, this doesn’t apply to him. His case seems to be work visa, so there’s no limitation of staying term.
Javi seems to often come and go to Canada in a short spun. Which kind of visa does he have?
Anyway, I am not particular about Canada visa. Does anyone know of yuzu’s visa?

Since this is the pre-olympic season, I hope whatever problem/injury that he has will be treated until completely healed. Not only his current injury, hopefully he will have a complete check-up of his physical/health condition so that if there is any early injuries it could be treated before it reaches the status of his current injury. It is possibly good for him to stay in Canada more during this and olympic season. I know he likes to train by himself due to various reasons, but when you are training by yourself, possibly when you are doing something wrong it will not be fixed on the spot and it grew into a habit/muscle memory. Having a coach supervising your training thus have its benefits.
Just out of curiosity, is Canada's health technology superior than Japan/USA? Any particular reason he decided to stay in Toronto besides the fact that he trains there? Thanks!

Until late last year (November, almost December); Javi had no work visa to stay in Canada so often he had to leave the country and return to Spain to obtain it.
About Yuzuru, I imagine he will have better conditions in this regard. At least I hope so and that not all governments of the world be so slow as Spain in that regard.

Yeah, the thing like that was said about last year’s WC. At that time, he’d kept training without returning to Canada from the Naionals on December till WC on March. During practicing by himself, his jump forms became a bit out of fit, but there was not enough time to adjust after their meeting at WC.
Further, the healing and finding of possible injuries are necessary.:yes: I hope careful and detailed examination will be carried out.
About the health technology in Canada, I am not familiar with it in the comparison with US/JP, but I remember reading in a Japanese blog by a Japanese living in Toronto. Her son is athlete, so she sometimes writes about athlete’s injuries, etc. There seem to be some excellent therapists in Toronto.
There are some members in Canada here, so someone may be particular about the medical environment in Toronto

^^^ I remembered someone posted about Canadian health institution and wondering which one Yuzu is going to be treated at...it is 50++ pages back 
I also hope he undergo a full medical check-up. I've never seen photos or tv program on any Team Japan members undergoing medical check-up, I saw a photo of Chan in ice-chamber and Javi posted photos of his medical check-up on his social media before.
