the most difficult for me was his mouth.

oh, his mouth... it may be so. not thick, but has elegance. especially, in this photo, it must be difficult. the way he opens his mouth is subtle. if you should fail it, the impression of this picture would be different. im sure you must be satisfied with it .

Ok guys I'm bursting of joy and I have to announce it... I just bought my tickets for the GPF in Marseille
I'm happy for you! I'm still waiting to know about the seats because everything looks quite messy :sad21:
Here's the finished portrait. Soo much fun. Yuzu's the best model ever. There are so many good photos of him it's difficult to choose one!

Here's the process for those interested in that sort of thing.

Hope you like it.

So jealous, I'm stuck in US because of my scholar visa and all international events are out of my reach except SA :sad21:. So, I pray that Yuzuru attends SA this year.

Since lately there has been some 3A talk here, I thought I might share this little thing I made. I guess it's nowhere near as good as some video but that's all I could do back in Barcelona, so I hope fans will be able to enjoy this as well. ˆ-ˆ

3A+1Lo+3S from first practice session in Barcelona in 2015, shot in sequence at 6 frames per second.

I understand your enthusiasm.
But personally, I am staying far away from buying any tickets until they give me some answers. I am not buying tickets for unassigned seats. No way. I can just see people queueing in the dark in the middle of the night every single morning... :drama:

The more I think about it, the more I get worried. Even TEB has assigned seats, I don't understand what's going on in their heads. But for me, it's probably a lifetime experience. I can't afford going abroad to see competitions, and since lots of people are going to retire after the Olympics... Marseille is almost a dream location for me. Not so far, cheap train, free accommodation since I know people there, I won't get that chance 2 times believe me :sad21:

:hap10:

I'm happy for you....but you just brought a ticket for each event ? Since there is not "all-event' ticket....

Me too. It's just a mess.
Furthermore it's too early for me, I don't have the money to buy a golden ticket...for the past two years, they started to sell it in July, and it was perfect. I can't afford it right now :( For a category 1 it will be fine, but without all-event

Yes I bought a ticket for each event, actually it didn't surprise me there were no all-event. And I really can't afford golden seats for sure. But I get a price advantage because I'm a member of the fed.

I'm happy for you! I'm still waiting to know about the seats because everything looks quite messy :sad21:

I'm totally screwed by the mess is it. Knowing that all this will prevent people from coming, and it won't help France get big events like this.

I think you should not worry and just go for it! :)
The worst case for you is probably :
a) you have to camp if you want good seats because japanese fans would definitely camp if there were no assigned seats
b) you would get so-so seats if you don't feel like camping. But it won't be so bad I guess?

Either way, it is far better than trying to get a ticket for Japan's events. And during oly season I am guessing NHK, GPF and Nats and Oly in korea would mean all the japanese fans would even be more determined to go due to less travel time and cost (and the possibility of yuzuru retiring). I also heard rumors that olympic tickets would be limited to international audience (like only 30%). I don't even want to imagine the price after auction for those tickets :drama:

Hahaha yes thanks for reassuring me, but the tickets are bought, so I'll go no matter what... This morning I told to a friend that's going with me "Hey girl free seating, that means queuing at 8AM" she just answered "you're kidding, are you a Yuzu fan? That means CAMP in front of the doors!"
I'm a bit worried but the enthusiasm is still there ;)

That is great! If you have a friend who go with you, you can take turns in queueing/camping
At least you don't have to camp for all events, just men FS and SP  Is your friend a yuzu fan too or just general skating fans?
If you are not particular about seats you don't even have to camp at all (again, assuming there is no assigned seats)

This is beautiful! If you don't mind me asking, what program did you use for this?

Well she's a Yuzu fan maybe not as much as I am, but enough to queue with me

Thanks for the positive responses! <3

I used Adobe Photoshop for this particular sequence but I've used Gimp for making some of those as well, to be on topic, this 3A sequence from the same day in Barcelona was put together in Gimp. It's really not the software you use but how you use it or at least that's what I think. :)

Ah I see, thanks for letting me know! This is better than slow-mo :agree:
And also how these capture the height and distance of his jumps, I love it! Thank you for sharing this

It just dawned on me , if we miss seeing him live the next 2 seasons and if he retires.....it will be difficult to see him live after that in Japan shows (assuming he turns pro and do ice shows) due to ticketing and high cost. And the possibility of him doing shows outside of Japan would be slimmed I think . and we will not be able to see the practice session in UA or t-shirt live again .

Holy macaroni...better start saving for next season.

I'm glad you liked it. I hope to be more accurate with take-offs and landings and do more of these sequences next season, though that will probably only be during Worlds. :)

Japan events might mean we have to pay extra through yahoo auction or ticketing agent, but I have never checked for figure skating events before, though I did so for other events. Olympic season the possibility for him is probably NHK + other GP elsewhere and GPF in Japan then Nats, so all of his competition would be mostly in Japan, before he fly to Korea for olympics. So i don't know, i think for me the 2016/17 season looks like the best time to see him
Tbh, I don't think I am strong enough to watch a competition live, even only by streaming I would be so nervous for him and I am not sure I can enjoy it due to all the stress and anxiety :drama:

You are planning to go to worlds? Wow, have fun!!! :agree: For sure, I'll be looking forward to those pictures and edits you make if you plan to make them again!

I already have pretty much everything planned and ready for Worlds and I have another event earlier in the season, so I do plan to continue and hope to actually improve. :)

Yuzuru’s words in P&G article (2 May 2016):
For competitions and times like that, I often use hairstyling products to fix my hair so that it does not get too messy. Because of that, I choose a shampoo that washes away the styling products without making my hair feel rough. Styling products also cause hair to be more easily damaged, so I use a conditioner as well. Figure skating is a sport where we are looked at from head to toe, including our hairstyle, so I do pay attention to haircare.

When I was a young child, I copied the hairstyle of Evgeni Plushenko whom I admire and I had a round mushroom cut. I started using Pantene from about that time and I remember the suds were really nice and my hair felt very smooth after that. I can feel that it has evolved from that long time ago, but the nice feeling of a good wash is still the same. The styling products are all cleanly washed off and I like the smooth feeling of my hair even with just shampoo alone.

From a long time back, the bathroom of the Hanyu home always had Pantene. When we all use the same shampoo, after a bath, we all have the same scent. That gives me a feeling of the bonds of family. Even now when I go back home, there is Pantene in the bathroom, and I feel very much the sense of closeness and familiarity.

Our boy could sell ice to Eskimos ................... Pantene, Because You're Worth It

Fantastic! I'm going to try and do something similar with my GoPro burst shots and video from Boston but he looks so tiny in them (may give it another go later this month). Absolutely love his 3A and the image.
