I see. I have no clue about his visa condition. However, if what indeed has been speculated about his visa condition is true (that he can only stay for 6 months then can't comeback for 2 months), by right he should not be able to return to Toronto after worlds in boston right? So he probably already have an arrangement planned?

Well, by going to Worlds, he interrupted his time in Canada. So the 6-month period would start over after he went back from Boston. If the 6 month thing is true, he should be fine, I think

Canada visa information http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=417&top=16

"A visitor visa (also known as a temporary resident visa). There are two types: a single entry visa and a multiple entry visa.
- A multiple entry visa allows visitors to come and go from Canada for six months at a time, without having to reapply each time. It can be valid for up to 10 years, or one month before your passport expires, whichever is earlier.
- A single entry visa allows you to come to Canada only one time. Once you have left Canada, excluding travel to the United States and St. Pierre and Miquelon, you will need a new visa to travel back to and enter Canada.

If your visa is still valid and you are travelling only and directly to the United States (including its Territories and Possessions) or St. Pierre and Miquelon, you do not need a new visitor visa to return to Canada."

So he is still within the 6 months visitor visa validality

My worry is in a scenario where he is given a clear to go back on ice for example on 1st June and then suddenly visa expires around that time so he got no choice but to go back to Japan where he has to train by himself, and he may over do the training and re-injure like what happened after the surgery where he overdid the training and injured his ankle and lost training time for worlds 2015.

I guess I want his team to be with him when he eases back into training on the ice. With the info on the visa validity above looks like he is able to stay in Canada until July (based on his arrival in Canada in early Feb).

Yuzuru came to Canada on 26th February, so he can stay until Mid August unless he ask for extension if his first Gp will be in NA.

Or maybe he is getting the work permit that's why he is staying in Canada for so long? Is that possible?

Yeah, he has been there back and forth since 2012 so I am hopeful that they would have had already arranged something by now. Not sure why they don't just announce that he won't be joining FaOI at all. Considering the news today, I highly doubt he can attend any.

It is unfortunate that he is not back on the ice, but I take it as a sign that he is really serious about recovery and is not rushing it. He was told 2 months, and that means 1-2 more weeks. Other skaters may already have their programs done, but there is so much time still before the season. Missing shows is not the end of the world, either, although people are missing him. I am sure he is not happy, but it is good for him to be off the ice too. It will keep him fresh and eager for what comes next. Sometimes you do not know how much you need rest until you are forced to take it. I hope he is not dwelling too much on the time he is missing and becoming frustrated... hope he is relaxing and not isolating himself too much. It is spring!

His study will keep him occupied as well, as he is now in his final year in university. The semester started in April 1 and graduation next March.

Thank you all for information, links and translations. The wait for news is distressing, but Yuzu grew stronger with their mistakes and difficulties. I believe he is more conscious and determined on the goals that are in front and is doing its best to recover fully.
We are praying and cheering for you Yuzu. Everything will be alright because God is in control. I miss you but I'd rather see him healthy and happy. Keep Calm and focus on your recovery. You are young and still has much to accomplish in this sport. Ganbatte!

He must be trying to get both study and skate perfectly… :drama:

I’m sure he is. Let’s believe in his power.

It seems like a custom to make announcement 3 weeks before the show, then they will make announcement soon, like tomorrow, at the latest by the end of this month, since FAOI Kobe is June 18th. I think they have to decide on the scenario of the entire show by that time, it would affect the group number choreo as well. They wanto to wait until the last possible timing because they want to hold onto the possibility of Yuzu' participation. The organizer already sold the show tickets and broadcasting rights so it would not impact them directly financially, but the people who bought the tickets for no Yuzu shows are dumping their tickets at the auction site, because many of them don't want to pay for accomodation and other high travel expenses if Yuzu is not in the show.

Im wondering if the shows where he can appear will remain when he misses all of FaOI and DOI on July 1-3. THE ICE is Mao centric show, and FOI is Shizuka's, substantially Daisuke's show. I cant imagine yuzu in current possition getting entry in those shows.
i think how much he loves and enjoys shows and am very sorry for him... :sad21:
Anyway, it's lucky this year is not Olympic year and he has some time to recover...

Its summer you need this . Tokyo Nishikawa campaign http://www.coolsleep-tokyonishikawa.jp/

Hot summer, cool sleep.
Buy one cool bedding item at Tokyo Nishikawa, get free one of five Yuzu’s clear folders with signature (left photos are front of files, right are behind). This campaign is celebrating 450th anniversaries of the company. Campaign duration: June 1 – July 31. Tokyo Nishikawa is a high-end bedding brand in Japan and Yuzu is one of brand advocates since 2015. - translated & shared by Echo Cheng @YHIFG FB.

I want all of them (POTO2 is also included!)! These photos will keep me cool during summer!

Hi! I'm a big Yuzuru fan and I followed this thread over the past few years, but this is actually my first post!
As far as the lovely PW water bottle is concerned, I think it has not only the French flag but also a small Tour Eiffel pendant attached (just below). Hope the golden boy recover quickly in time to gift the world with another sensational season.
Sorry for my English, BTW, it is not my first language.
