Thank you kiches. I might have missed it, but I did not know that Yuzuru gave his bouquet to Gishlain Briand after the medal ceremony, nor I heard any media/fan reporting it yet, so thank you! That was a sweet gesture from him :luv17:

I'm afraid the theme/title "Is Paris Burning" may be too heavy, but I want this type of dramatic, lyrical, and thrilling one for Yuzuru's FS of Olympic season, and I'm thinking it is very likely as his team selected a bit calm music for this season. In any case, everyone's interests are surely moving to his next season's programs

I have heard that some anti say Yuzuru also has a lot of crossovers, they're trying to attack his skating because some people say their favourites mostly use crossovers. Ok we only need to count it well, Yuzuru only has 15-18 crossovers in his Hope and Legacy at WC 2017.Russian analysis of his Worlds H&L that explains all the steps/transitions used and the bullet points he hits for each element plus corresponding GOE, if anyone is interested in using google translate to understand, like me.
Now I hope those naive folks who DARE say that Yuzuru "aslo has a lot of crossovers" come here and count with me. If they can not defend their favourite's horrible technique and their luck with tons of crossovers they use, they should shut up.

Thank you for writing your report of Yuzuru'free program. I understand your emotions. I am a Yuzuru's fan from Canada. I am also very emotional following the SP. But at the Free program, the emotions are at the maximum. I am so happy of the conclusion of the competition.
Yes I also feel that the judges did not give him full credit for his jumps in GOE and in PCS. He should have obtained all +3 for GOE and more 10 in PCS, comparing to others skaters like Fernandez. They (the judges) seem to like Fernandez better when he skated well, they are ready to shower him with top scores and generous TES and PCS. But when Fernandez did not skate well, the judges can not favour him more than they did.
It was a wonderful week with so much joys and emotions. I met all my friends I have met at previous competitions in Canada, Boston, GPF Marseille. A friend from China has offered me her banners of Yuzuru in his costumes of SP, LP and Exhibition The Swan . She has printed her drawings in colours with the Chinese letters in gold on a piece of tissue or silk. He looks so beautiful.
I was so happy to show the banners to others Japanese fans and they took the pictures of them. They in turn want to give me their gifts like the transparent files of Yuzuru.

Interesting. I never "count" his steps and turns or even crossover but he visibly has more if not the most one-foot skating compared to to other top guys (even maybe patrick) imo. His distribution of transition might make some get the impression that he has less, because he mostly stack it before/after elements but he also has plenty in between too.

Maybe they count some chasses or other steps and 2-foot skating as crossovers lol so idk

Lmao how do I know. I would not attack Yuzuru for his transition or 1-foot skating that is for sure. He has one of the most if not the most complex footwork among the top 6 guys (and he execute it well too). Actually, I just rewatched everyone's program, patrick did look like he tone down himself a bit compared to his pre-3 quads/sochi days. His flowing and gliding and edge mastery is still unrivaled though.
They display their mastery of skating skill in a slight different manner, imo. Patrick exhibit it in his edges, flowing and gliding and that knees of his. Yuzuru played more with speed and difficult turns. Some judges might prefer one after the other so personally I would not mind if 1 of them score above the other in 1 event, while on a different event it is the other way around. BUT if they think he should be getting low SS and TR score it is... delusional. :hopelessness: Granted, I do get the impression of him being a tad bit slower than he is usually capable of, but I am not there to witness it live so it could be the camerawork/fancam quality etc so...
But even if he is I understand since he probably is conserving energy for the quads.

His speed felt on par with the rest of the field, if not among the faster people, for me anyway. Like, during the program I wasn't like "hmm he seems slow" at all whereas I could tell easily with others. But one thing I loved during the first day of practice was his cool down session when he is just stroking on the ice. He has wonderful skills to make THAT part among the most interesting of what he did considering all the jumps he was throwing out there.
