According to the article, he challenged 9 times. 5th time, he fell after the compete rotation, and at last 8th, he finally nailed it. According the live report, the axis of rotation was good and he totally rounded.

Further, his encore is LGC according to the practice report!

If he went for 5 quads, the 3F would stay but not the 3Lz. If he would go for 4 different quads, then both 3F and 3Lz would stay and if he popped the 4Lz into 3Lz or something, he could always throw another quad at the end. Because Yuzu is the kind of guy who'd jump a quad as his last jumping pass, I'm sure of it.
