I think so too. Zhenya and Plushy is popular among Japanese right? and they have Shoma, Miki, Oda and Shizuka etc as home skaters in case Yuzu is not around. I feel like he won't be needed this year to fill out seats and they already prepared for his absence. Maybe he is thinking that skipping ice shows work for him last year so he is thinking of doing that too this year?
I am thinking maybe he is going to skip FAOI and come back just for doi to premiere programs
Because I am kind of expecting him to skip but on the other hand he is healthy can he survive JSF and shows? :scratch3:- Joined

Well, if the tickets are soldout even without any promise of his participation, I am thinking they would not care. If they want him that would probably be for broadcast ratings. Wasn't Shirota used to be a bigshot in JSF? I would assume she still have some friends and allies (and foes
) around to help her out for his sake. 
Orser has mentioned he actually dislike when his kids are doing too much ice shows, whined about it when Javi did that last season, also whined about it during Yuzu's early years with him. If it was up to him, Yuzu probably is not going to go to any.

Hahaha. Well, but he was not happy when Javi did too much too. I think it is him being conservative, during his days there was a clear-cut between professional and amateur competitive skaters and competitive skaters didn't do shows much if at all. But he understands the need to grab the $$$ (especially for Javi, Yuzu will be just fine even without ice shows imo).

He has become wise enough not to do any at WTT gala, though many expected it (including us).

Idk why but I feel like if Yuzu decides to not join any show, I have a feeling we probably will get a new jump layout next season. My bet will be either 4T-1Lo-3S, 4Lo-3T, or maaayyyybeeee 4Lz. Bc he sounds so eager to be back in Toronto and start working on his programs.

Okay, I've been thinking of alternative layouts that use and don't use the 4Lz but without my trusted app for calculating BV, I haven't actually done the math to check if they're in any way that much of a BV improvement.
Without 4Lz
4Lo 4S 3F // 4S3T 4T 4T1lo3S 3A2T 3Lz (minus one 3A because he repeats 4S and 4T)
4Lo 4S 3F // 4Lo3T 4T 4T1lo3S 3A2T 3Lz (same thing but with repeat 4Lo)
4Lo 4S 3F // 4S3T 4T2T 3A1lo3S 3Lz 3A (his 3A2T isn't getting nearly the same GOEs as before, compared to a 3A3T, so he might as well move the 2T to the 4T and have a solo 3A at the end!)
4Lo 4S 3F // 4Lo3T 4T2T 3A1lo3S 3Lz 3A (same thing but with repeat 4Lo)
