*sobs quietly in the corner*
Make it happen madame, don't dream of it! He totally would, you just have to ask.

And that story still tugs at my heart strings, that was probably the worst after Boston. It's so good to see him in much better spirits and fighting again!

Don't tell me ! I am watching this ex non stop and quietly sobbing...

I think he did a dogeza poze. Is it called like this in Japanese?)"

Yes. From what my Japanese acquaintances tell me (this was unrelated to Yuzuru, the conversation) the point is that your pants, bare hands and forehead touch the floor, which is considered dirty (as people walk on it) and it's the apology really. Rare thing. It's why I felt so bad for him, he must have felt gutted.

Sigh. When you almost have that thing, but is snatched away ... (*pokes Tarasova* Please?)

According to this article, Yuzuru chose his new EX music from the CD which Tarasova had given him after Boston. With the music she wanted him to skate to.

It is .touching episode. The article describes his comments further.:)

He says he was so deligted at her words. To see the battle of Plushenko and Yagudin, he decided that he would devote himself to figure skating, aiming for Olympic Gold Medal. he thanks Tarasowa saying that he found him really a happy guy that he’d got music directly from the teacher who'd tought the skater who won the title at Salt Lake.

Further, about the theme of music, he says it is the same theme as the program which motivated him to keep skating (after the disaster). He has something rising up from his heart. The previous program shows until (the swan? he?) can come to fly up (again from the pain). This time, the image was like embracing everything tenderly and moving on.

Well, if he does dogeza after missing the jumps at exhibitions where nobody is supposed to be perfect then I can imagine he did it in front of a famous coach. And after reading the interviews summaries I get how much Boston failure to win gold affected him.

Thank you.
Anyone has British ESP commentary of his FS? Please?

Did they even air it? I saw the ex but not the FS version. But they should have aired it right? Since the German and Italian ESP both aired it.

There are highlights from 3 to 5pm UK time (or an hour later, can't check exactly now) so not yet. I imagine they will show his program considering he won the FS and came 2nd overall.

Are the YouTube videos of Yuzu's exhibition blocked in Canada? Still here in Toronto and when I click on the links, they all say video unavailable :(. Did British Eurosport show mens programs---couldn't find them when I tried to setup my recorder before leaving for Skate Canada, but this year their coverage is really awful :scowl:

Just saw your post --- I programmed to record highlights, so maybe there's hope for his FS being shown--- thanks for telling us.

Someone uploaded the German ESP for his FS and Ex on youtube

FS : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cG9k9h-L_Sw
EX: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmJfpcD_cCg
I had to download these because they're blocked for me, so I can't tell if there are any subtitles. Anyway, a summary:

He mentions that Yuzu was only 4th after the SP, but that what he had shown in the short was not "the real Yuzuru Hanyu" (feel like I've heard that one before). When he falls on the 4Lo (still irritates the heck out of me when they call it Rittberger, as I rarely watch with German commentary), the commentator is like "oh well, one day this is gonna work", and after the program he basically goes, well, that quad loop didn't work, but some of the other jumps were brilliant, and once he manages to go clean on those elements, there will be a few more points to gain, so there really is no need to worry about this diligent athlete. (this is a recap, so I guess his comments are related to the fact that he "only" came second in the end)

After the EX he talks about how Yuzu was behind after the SP because the 4Lo hadn't worked, and that he partly does that jump because he's got some trouble with the toe loop, and that he still managed to catch up in the FS. There's a bit of fanboying when he goes on about what a hard worker Yuzuru is, that he's a fighter, that we've already seen great things from him and that we've been through some stuff with him (ain't that the truth), that he'll never forget the WC after the Olympics, when most of the pressure of the season was already off and everyone's batteries were pretty much empty, but how Yuzuru then fought for that WC title.

He does think Yuzu's totally awesome  that much is clear
