Seriously this place moves too fast for me to keep up, phew

Here's my personal video made during Yuzuru's solo FS warm up, he popped his jump and said UWAH!

All the fans around me were squealing at how cute it was, at the end that's my voice, I didn't hear it properly at first so I had to ask my sister because she was aww'ing at him

No good pics because mostly he's too fast, I didn't bring a good camera except for my phone because I was afraid it would get confiscated, now I regret, every single picture I tried to get of Patrick or Yuzuru are blurs because they are really too fast

I think the 4T3T is probably not coming back to the FS, considering injury and all. If anything, I would assume if it were to make a comeback it will be in the SP. I think doing 4Lo and 4S3T is very risky if he is more consistent with 4S and 4T3T. The BV difference is indeed 1.7 point, but if he can't really rely on the 4Lo by the time of Japan Nats, I think it will be wiser to just drop it in the SP.

Safer? sure. Wiser? not so sure.

Being wise is knowing that it often takes him two year to master new techniques, and thus preparing two year in advance for his main goal : the Olympics.

It's the same with the four quads. So many people are like : oh, it's too much right now, he should have waited! Waited for what? Waited for all the younger generation to have five? Waited until the last minute before the Olympics to try and add some more in hopes that it would work with a bit of magic? Waited for his stamina to magically catch up for six quads while only jumping five?

I think what he's doing this year is the smartest thing he could do. He's preparing for next year. And yes, we all know he'd want perfection right away, who wouldn't?
He won gold at the last Olympic because the favourite decided to play it safe. It would just be ridiculous of him to do the same.

Let him have his failures, he's proven many time that he always learns from them. Failures are part of the journey, we've got to learn to accept them, same as he does. Will it assure him a gold at the next Olympic? I have absolutely no idea. But will it ensure he gives it his best with absolutely no regret because he did all he could? Of that I'm absolutely sure.

In the end, it's not even about a medal. It's about what he wants and what he thinks it's going to take to acheive it. Let's have some respect for that.

Idk, maybe it's my imagination, but it seems he was talking about Satoko's Stsq with her coach and the japanese lady  He is aware of everything:laugh:

Nope , not imagination they are discussing stsq .

Yes, yes, yes again. Can't agree more with the whole of your post.
He knows what he needs to try and win next Oly and he's preparing his road towards it.
I'm pretty sure the layout for next Oly FP will be pretty similar to this one with 4 quads, with the only ? about which one to repeat and the chance to bring it another type *IF* he gets it with good rates, but the structure of the program will be very similar to this one (and anyway with 4 total quads), imo.
Hope & Legacy has a structure deeply different from all his past long programs: in the short term it means a lot of trials&errors to get to know how to approach it in the best way possible. In the long run, it means having a clear idea on how to go for next year, imo.

Exactly, lets have all the problems, issues, lack of stamina.... whatever it comes when trying to go further than anyone, early, and then go prepared to worlds and the olympics with the best program that nobody can beat when you skate it clean.

Safer? sure. Wiser? not so sure.

i'm pretty sure this will be his olympic layout, the only thing that will propably change he will try to introduce harder entries to quads in fs next season, I don't think he will ever bring quad lutz to programs, he must make 3lz consistent :laugh2: :laugh2:

He is most likely living and breathing figure skating, so it is no surprise he was taking note of everything.
