Yuzuru Hanyu: 2016-17 Season

Aaaah! It's Yuzu Day! I wish him an excellent year filled with health and lots of Shuu-Paas May he continue to do what he loves for a long time! (It would be excellent news for us )
Celebrating his birthday in competition... That must be a perfect gift for him!

Happy Birthday Yzuu! It's the 6th here as well, so that means celebrating his birthday twice
Today I celebrated with getting more fans in to figure skating by showing Yuzuru's Seimei program.
And it worked, nevermind the new fans are between the ages of 3-5, get them while they are young.

P.S: My mission is not only to make them fans of figure skating, but also of Yuzuru but that is not hard to do.
Show Seimei once, and they are fans for life.

I realized...I really like the sound of skates against the ice, especially before/after jumps. It makes the jumps feel so much bigger! I don't like it when on TV you can barely hear anything other than commentary and the music.

I think that's the big thing for him. If he lands the 4Lo, chances for both clean go way up. Fingers crossed. Especially as in my book a clean program does not equal a perfect program. Just because he stays up doesn't mean there can't be a better execution of both jumps and other elements. Anyway, I am hoping for both clean ones too, I do believe it's doable at this point in the season.

Clean jumps do not mean he's necessarily peaking. All that would mean would be that he's in so-called athletic shape, which provides for high-level performance. You can peak more than once per season, and there are ways to extend the top level of athletic shape, where peaking comes from. The whole science makes my head hurt. Yuzuru doesn't seem fussed about it per that interview, so I'll take his cue.
