One thing any Hanyu fan realizes very quickly here is that facts are often public enemy #1 and logic is public enemy #2.

I'd say that thread is a masterpiece by any weird internet troll logic though by now. There is a reason I consider that poster to be, eh, the gold standard of GS.

And I'll fly with my Yuzu to the Land of Dreams! It's well past three in the morning here - time my battles were over!

Apparently Shoma is adding a 4S, probably to Worlds - I mean good on him to be able to do that but given that he has yet to go clean in both his short program and free skate... Well it does seem like a bit of a weird priority? I mean good to get milage I guess?

What if actually Yuzuru just goes "fu*k it" and decides to learn the 4A right now out of competitiveness...?

If Yuzuru adds something new to his layout, that means the success rate in practice has increased to an acceptable number for him. I'd say better for Yuzuru to not rush new elements like he did with 4S. Yuzuru rushed the 4S and let it become his mental block. So I am glad he approached the Loop slowly and it has become quite consistent now. I assume he will do that with other new elements.
No need to rush if you only make a mess.

plz no
I was wondering though if he'd be tempted to keep his 4cc yolo 2nd half with the 4t+2t and the final 3A but then change an earlier quad like...the solo 4s to a 4lz, since i think hes been working on it? Dunno if the bv difference would be worth it though  If he can't get over his 4s+3t block though I hope he just changes it and tweaks the layout around that.
Mostly I just hope he finds his happy place and performs his programmes as they are, just how he wishes us to see them. No pops, not splats

This thread is back to surprising me with it's speed.

Well good luck to Shoma if that is the case, since it'll go either way -- success or failure (but I'm not that enthusiastic about it unless his 4S is reliable enough for competition, since he fell on his last 4lo -- 2nd in competition-- and his 4F has a major issue of pre-rotation / underotation. I think he should focus more on developing his jump arsenals at the moment)

As for Yuzu 4A is nice but please not on the Olympic season. I approve of him playing with it after.
