I personally dislike Vertigo more, Hello I love you was much better last year , choreo looked more mature, stsq was awesome.. of course there were some cheesy moves left but still, it was ok, not my fav ex but I can stand it :)

If Yuzu goes back to something rock-like for next season, I can already hear Kurt praising it in the CBC broadcast. He's been wanting to see Yuzu on rock-star mode for a couple of seasons now

I wondered why he never used "Hello, I love you" after 2012 SA any more. He performed different old competitive programs in almost every competition gala in 2013-2014 season, and Final Time traveller (summer EX) in competition galas in 2014-2015 season, but only performed "Hello, I love you" once in gala.

I remember Yuzu said in an interview (though I don’t remember which…) that he saw the 2013-2014 season as the culmination of the 4 years he lived as a senior skater, which include the two years in Sendai before and after the earthquake, and the two years he trained in Canada. That was why he chose Romeo & Juliet again for FS to fight through his first Olympic season and probably why he revisited his old competitive programs in gala except for GPF 2013 where he skated “Story”, which he skated in the same venue in July for Fantasy on Ice 2013 where he stated “I want to come back here and skate at GPF gala.” I guess he wanted to say “I kept my word!” by skating it.

As for Final Time Traveler, I don’t know why he chose to skate it in 2014-2015 season. But it looks less demanding for someone who has pain in his stomach than Hello, I love you which features long hydroblading.

Correction:
The blue part was ”pain in his chest” but it was mistake.

IIRC also the Final Time Traveler is connected to the 2011 earthquake...

The song was taken from the sound track of a video game inspired by Kobe earthquake and how it has been forgotten.
Scenario writer of the game tweeted about it in here, here, and here. In the first tweet there’s a link to a trailer. In the second he talked about the conflict he had in his mind after 311 because he had just finished the scenario on the day before 311. He once thought of dumping it but finally made it into a game. In the third tweet he said he wanted to tell his past self that in future Yuzuru would choose the song for GPF 2014 Gala.

I had no idea about this, thank you for sharing this info.

I knew it came from a videogame (I'm a huge Japanese RPG videogame music fan, and had heard the song a number of times on the soundtrack before ever seeing the EX program. It made me weep with its beauty every time I listened to it. When I saw Yuzu skate to it, I cried my eyes out).
But had no idea the videogame was inspired by the Kobe earthquake. You do learn some interesting things here... Thank you.

I've already asked at the Worlds 2017 forum but I think I might get the answer here sooner ;):

There's a row 4 ticket available on the short side of the rink and I'm thinking of buying it. Is it a good seat? How's the visibility from the short side of the rink? There's also a row 11 available opposite the judges much to the left side, which would be better? Also, does anyone experienced know where the media are going to be? I had a chance to sit amidst photographers at junior gpf (they just took the best seats since they were not assigned) and the shutter noise was terrible so I wouldn't want to subject myself to that?

That's probably my last chance to see Yuzu live again, so I'm very eager to go but I've been hesitating because of the ticket prices... For a good seat though...

Do you mean at the ends of the rink? I know that the Kiss & Cry is on one end of the rink. Photographers in Boston were mainly next to judges closest to the rink, and also further back in the lower levels but there were fewer of those. Commentators say in 3 different spots in Boston. One was just next to the Kiss and Cry, another was next to section 21 further up close to where my seat was (saw Kurt Browning a lot), and even more seats higher up right towards the club/suites (saw Tarasova sitting there in Boston).

If it's at the end of the rink but by the Kiss and Cry I took a video during practice near the seats above and behind the kiss and cry if this is the area you're talking about (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4...ps-in-boston-yuzuru-hanyu-fs-runthrough_sport). Overall if this is row 4 from the actual edge of the rink I think it's a great seat.

Someone mentioned change! I forgot how I like this program, especially the first 1 minute of it. What is the name of the instrument used? Is it a traditional Japanese instrument? If he do a program (SP or LP) only with the accompaniment of that instrument like he did there I would give him 10 out of 10 for originality :hap57:
The latter part where it is more pop-rock is ok though, the footwork sequence seems interesting but he has yet to execute them well imo, wonder how he will do it now.
p.s : I'm generally not into rock/pop program but well he already had PW which is kind of rock/bluesy and a couple of upbeat ex. Besides, it is always good to see him experimenting. It is not an oly season anyway,

Also, I am probably the minority here but I am excited to see him work with DW again. Probably because it can finally put down my curiosity whether these two just don't click or whether Yuzuru has yet to have mature physically, artistically, technically + the stamina to perform DW program. Besides, it is an EX! If it doesn't work it won't affect his placing or anything, a win-win situation!

Thank you! I meant mostly photographers. The video givies a nice perspective. I think I'd be sitting closer so maybe... :)

Totally agree with you! :agree:The name of the instrument is tsugaru-jamisen.
I feel the same about the collaboration between Yuzu and David too. It’s a good time to give it another try.:)

It’s seems like Yuzu has been kidnapped after his “very politically incorrect” declarations at Worlds and temporarily banned from media ,
we only have some “stolen” apparitions via other skaters clips/pics in a game similar to pokemons or “ finding Yuzu-Nemo “:ddevil:
while Mrs Shirota releases informations drop by drop to rassure us the kid is good and behaves well …

I wonder when we’ll see his face and hear his voice again other than a videomessage ( kidnapped kid !!) even if I know he’ll say he himself asked DV an EX, he himself asked for a “ Hello…”SP because he really loves it etc , but … Yuzu-Nemo , I miss you sooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yahoo:

Thanks for sharing. Praying, praying and praying that Yuzu stay healthy and be very, very happy this season. I trust him to choose their programs. He is a perfectionist and minutely builds each stage of their programs, including their costumes. I have not seen a skater incorporate persenogem so perfectly. Music is pesonificada under his feet. Yuzuru has the right measure of art and technique for this sport. He is fantastic and I am a very proud mother. I'm anxious to see it materialize your hard work.
When I saw this video I thought, WOW! It would be good for him to try rock next season.

So good to read this and to actually know their priorities for the upcoming season. 4CC: it is almost 100% that he goes there. I think Shoma goes too. I was relieved in a way to read that they realise that he has to be cautious this season and there is no need to go and "die" on the ice because they still see him as their biggets asset for the Olympics. The variety of quads is on the table- he wants it, he goes for it and he will be cautious about his injury. Good!

If they decide to skip some events then unfortunately I think that would mean no GP events (at least SC and GPF) this season which is not bad considering what is going on in Europe lately (GPF is in Marseille). He'll stay safe and have time to slowly progress for Nationals, 4CC, Worlds and... does Team Event take place this season? Perhaps he will take part in NHK to please his home crowd and sell the tickets for sponsors.
