Anyway Patrick kind of bombed but because it is Canada he is still ahead by 3 points to Yuzu. I am fine with this actually. I don't expect him to be ahead of Chan so I am content with a podium finish.

Atleast the gap isnt as big as last year.

Medvedeva tweeted about this, she was worried, said he wasn't doing many jumps.
I was actually glad that I wasn't the only one who was surprised by this :roll9: I wondered why he keeps going in circles instead of doing, you know, the usual warm-up craziness..... but I thought maybe they had decided that he shouldn't waste his energy before he actually has to skate his program  seems like I wasn't that far off in the end? (well at least Yuzu had apparently decided that's what's going to happen. You know for a guy who can't shut up for five seconds, that's not a whole lot of communication :palmf: )

Well it's Skate Canada. He has to go clean to win over Patrick, what can you do.

I'm glad the did his best and I really wish they'd stop sending him to Skate Canada. Go to France Yuzuru. You'll have a much better time, on all accounts.

Last year I was not saying anything, but this year he was robbed. It's not end of the world, but yeah...

I was certain they would let Patrick win with PCS. Hate that actually. Can't help it. I knew it was going to happen and yet...:angry1:

Probably also because he is skating 2nd after the 6 min warm up? So less rest time until he actually has to go compare to what we are used to seeing; I like that he is thinking about that!

It is Skate Canada after all. Not surprised. Doesn't make me feel any better though.

Well not really, last year he was clean. Patrick deserved that 96 PCS back then. When they both bombed (e.g Worlds) their PCS should be around the same (they both get 92 at worlds). Anyway, it's not really a big deal, Patrick skates at home I don't expect him to be given the same PCS as Yuzuru. If it was in Japan Yuzuru probably will get the edge in PCS so all is fair in love and war

Anyway Yuzuru should get silver (ALMOST GOLD)
Mura kind of bombed

CONGRATS BB NICE COMEBACK!!! :hap10: :cheer:

Yea, I thought Patrick bombed the FS much more than Yuzu bombed the SP... and since FS is worth more, why doesn't that close the gap? Did Yuzu's last spin not count?

I'm find with Chan getting gold too. Let him and his fans -- some of whom I find genuinely disturbing -- have their moment.

Their gap is basically just from PCS. Patrick got 266 Yuzuru got 263. Yuzuru was 1o points away in the short. Anyway it is not so bad. The gap is not as much as last year and Yuzuru looks kind of content with his state at the minute. I'm feeling good.
