I started thinking of Part of Your World from the Little Mermaid when he said he wanted to get more in the knc :laugh2:
You want SP scores over 100. I've got plenty. No big deal. I want world record scores!

Am I the only one missing the white costume? I never thought I'd say this but I actually prefer the white costume over the new purple one. The purple isn't working for me and those boot covers need to go.

The language nerd emerges once again! When he said "i wanna get more" to Brian oh my god, he pronounced it beautifully. And his voice was more like his normal japanese voice! :luv17: I must have listened to it like ten times in a span of a minute hahaha.
Finally got to watch it again, i am loving it more and more. This is what i had in mind when we were watching videos of the "pieced together" program from various news sources when he first announced it. This is the kind of energy i wanted to see.

It looks like the opinions on this costume are stronger than with the white one. He looked good on the white one, but i still don't like this shade of purple for him. I would have taken seimei purple instead of this horrendous shimmery blurple on the pants

I'll have a good cry over the white costume, but if the purple one brings him better skates, I'll come to terms with it. :)

I finally had the chance to watch it in HD,

OMG!

I love love this program! Imperfect but he's already performing the heck of it, if he manages to improve on it, it'll be the PW 2.0 in terms of entertainment. That choreo is brilliant, it fits the music like a glove. In the first two outings sometimes skated through music but here it was great. At the beginning, just as he prepares for the 4Lo, that preparation actually looks good with the music and not rushed with aborted movement like before. His hand movement when Prince starts talking and the turn at the guitar sound were so nicely done! The 4T3T looked like he had fun, heh, exit from the 3A was jaw dropping because it fit the music and the dance style so perfectly - is a kick like that more difficult than spread-eagle or a long exit? - and the way he immeditely threw himself into the spin was just amazing. The step sequence was awesome, the sliding-on-his-knees was totally the equivalent of the PW lunge and it went with the music so well, then the entry to the last spin and the last spin matched the grinding music like holy $hit I'm gonna build Buttle an altar. Buttle or the person who did the music cut to fit it so perfectly, lol

I LIKED THE COSTUME! So ok, on itself white was better, but if sacrifices had to be made, this is the next best version. I'd rather the pants were a bit different shate, more dark lilac/purple without the touch of blue, but the shirt looks perfect to me. I loved the BESP lady commentary on it, "it takes a remarkable skater to pull of dancing to Prince, some of those moves, and that outfit, but he's got it" and asking Simon if Yuzuru borrowed that outfit from him, which made wonder just what kind of clothes does Simon Reed wear that somebody would ask that.

In short: rock on Yuzu!

ETA: huh, I've just looked at some photos and those pants look fabulous on photos, more vibrant than on my tv.

the - "I wanna get more points"
- "yeah I KNOW you wanna get more points"
was the best thing ever  :luv17:

I noticed that too and even the entry into the last camel spin matches the music exactly. The four exact beats to get into the position. He's one of the few skaters who really focuses on choreography in the spins. :luv17:

Oh yes, absolutely! The first one too,

arms spread exactly at the little yelp, then hand up with the number one.

I didn't think I'd grow to love this program so much but what was needed I think was this. He was so completely connected to the music. The steps were fabulous, it worked brilliantly but also one other thing, this is really a difficult music to skate to. It's kind of even more apparent to me now, once he's done so well. It can eat you up and it needs one hundred percent commitment and all these little moments to totally work.

I am glad you are being won over. He really did it justice here... and I am smugly grinning, sitting here in my chair because I loved it as soon as i saw the clips of him snapping his fingers back in september.... I knew people would come around to my way of thinking :agree:

Side by side comparison of Yuzu in the same position. Seems his hair has a smidge more volume ( a bit puffier and less slick back). Love it! His shirt is lighter than his pants. It makes his upper body and arms look slightly bigger in comparison to his legs and helps the vest pop out, while his dark pants make his legs appear longer and define his leg muscles and booty .

Kid knows what he's doing ( or his designer does)!

finally was able to watch

that 4S3T was insaaaane, why only +2.2 ?

The flow between the jumps is incredible. There was no hesitation at all going into the 3T. I think his 4S-3T is better than his 4T-3T, so hopefully he lands it more consistently in competition.
