What if you were used to this? :laugh2:
(good thing the alien space kitten is about a billion times more polite than us average humans)

ROFL!! Then if I got a not so nice trophy I'd smile in front of everyone, but then do a McKayla Maroney "not impressed" face behind closed doors. My hobby is AMV video editing (or rather was because I haven't the time to make new videos these days) so there are many competitions for this. It is not uncommon for me to base my participation in an event on how nice their trophies are. I mean, I would much rather take a crystal trophy over a paper certificate or nothing at all and that's a range for award types in the field. I have crystal trophies, large plaques, and nice medals. I have a collection display even. So getting a paper certificate someone printed out at home in comparison to those things...I can't help it to be a little snobbish. But I put a lot of work into my stuff as well. And skaters do 1000x more than me. So the reward should be sweet.

And speaking of nice medals. I think they should revamps the world championship medals. These skaters worked hard and deserve more than something the size of a quarter or half dollar coin or whatever its actual size is. I've never been impressed with those medals and even less with the small medals that are probably the size of a penny.

Yuzuru will be looking around for the flag 🎌, like at AC. I saw some people raised up their flags there for him when they played the anthem.

Hello, with the price increase for the gold tickets you'd think they could at the very least have decent medals.
That's assuming that enough people are willing to buy your overprized tickets :coffee:

And the podium is the same as TDF, and they aren't even displaying real flags...
I think they also shipped over the TdF K&C chairs and put them in... whatever the area is called where the current leaders have to wait while the others still skate

With how close the score is between Patrick and him (and not to mention he is only 15 points away from Javi), I think for him to win with mistakes, means the others have to make mistakes as well. If Chan and Javier goes clean, he can't really afford a single mistake on his program. A 3-quad LP program executed by either Patrick or Javi has the potential to score 210-220 when clean. 1 mistake on the 4S3T for example, for Yuzuru, would just gave him low 200s because of the REP and deduction. Looking at his history with 4S3T on LP, I'm not betting my money on him doing it clean. So well, maybe this time he kind of have to bet on Javi and Chan making mistakes. :slink:

he can win it with mistake as long as this mistake is not REP of 4S

Lol, and how does Didier think he is capable of being ISU president when events in his own country is handled like this? :palmf:

Considering Chan skates last, if he is clean, there is a possibility that will also not happen. Because judges would likely give him the PCS and GOE just enough to win, since he would skate 2 clean programs here. That said, Chan has never landed the 4S in competition iirc, similar to Yuzuru's problem with 4S3T in LP. I would not put my money on any of them and just hope may the best skates win. :)

Oh no... and Dijkema is here watching. I rather wish he'd look to Japan to get a good idea of how Holland should run a figure skating event. ;)

Good luck Yuzu !! May the divine power be upon you and bless the entire layout of your FS. It's your story. Tell us all your love and your emotion. Show your strength. You can do it. You deserve to win. I trust you Ganbatte !!!! God is with you. YUZUUUU!!!!!! GOOOOOOO!
