This programme interviewed Yuzu's teacher when he was in primary school. He said little yuzu is innocently naughty (?). And some precious scenes of little yuzu in blue hoodie
(unfortunately, there is no subtitle & it is on weibo)

You know someone has hit the big time when they interview the primary school teacher.

IIRC the other day someone here mentioned a add-on for browsers so that you can just hover over the link and you get to see the pictures? No need to click on them. Anyone??? I'd love to check it out, too, but forgot about it until liv mentioned the above.

The add-on is called Imagus

Will anyone watch it at that time? :(

Hopefully the 1 or 2 PM one, someone will probably catch it. They did say they were going to show the gala live today (they did on the player) but there was foodtball and skiing I think.

Here's a French channel, in the meantime:

They call him the greatest skater in the history of skating (The French guy was gushing in the end. Perfect, perfect, delicate...look, look at this last spin .. it's perfection) If anyone could translate fully, it'd be lovely. :luv17:

The Gala is showing on Eurosport 2 an hour from now! The program tomorrow morning is a recap of the competition itself. Well, here at least.

My French brain and my English brain don't meet very often, so I'll give it a try, but in advance, I ask for forgiveness. I am definitely NOT a translator (which is a job I greatly admire).

NM = Nelson Monfort (male commentator); AD : Annick Dumont (female commentator)

NM says a few things about the announcer.

NM : [the announcer] presents Yuzuru Hanyu, Japan. Winner of this Grand Prix, Two times world champion (mistake on his part here... one we wish was true :p), Olympic Champion, Quadruple Japan Champion... well, let's stop with his credentials. Some consider him already as one of the best skater in history, or even THE best skater in history. He mixes incredibly well absolute grace and unparalleled technical difficulties.

(Skating starts)

NM : Quadruple Grand Prix Winner.

(more skating)

NM : A Biellman, very rare for men.

NM : This swan is spreading its wings in a magnificient way. Delicate.

NM : (he's being all lyrical in his words, I honestly can only translate words for words, because I have absolutely no idea if there is a way to translate with a saying or something, sorry) : The softness (or finesse), this beautiful aristocracy of strenght (what he means is : it takes incredible strenght AND incredible control of your strenght to be able to achieve that level of delicacy).

NM : A triple Axel, slightly saved, but saved (laughing).

NM : He personnifies the swan, it's perfect, it's perfect. It's soft, it's delicate, it's... light, it's... ah, look at that final spin, look... it's a swan... It's both a withe swan and a black swan, the top and the bottom, but it's perfection.

AD : How beautiful is that program. How do I prefer it to his free skate. Of course, there aren't the same obligatory technical elements, but it was so beautiful, so well interpreted. It's rare to see Yuzuru Hanyu free himself artistically at this level. To embody such a strong theme, the swan, but it was so good to see him being touched and being touching. It's rare, and I understand him, because in his free skate, he's planning four quadruples this year.

NM : FOUR?!?

AD : Yes, four

NM : And two in the short ?

AD : that's it. So he's competing with six quadruples. He landed the two in the short, three in the the free, a fourth quad with a fall, but so honorable since the performance was so ambitious and courageous. It allowed him to win this competition, even though he didn't win the free skate. But I was full of admiration for this artistic and technic performance. It was, very simply moving and magnificient.

(then they talk about something else).

(it's not perfect, but it's the most I can do, if someone can do better, please do so )

Lol Did he make his Pooh kiss the other plushie that is Alina's or Evgenia herself? Can anyone see it? Evgenia was jumping afterwards and she put her hand at her mouth, right before the ending of the video.

Actually, all three ladies doing their little hops of joy is my cuteness dose for the day. He's certainly very popular with Russian ladies and júnior skaters in general.

I think that is Alina's plushy puppy. Evgenia got excited and immediately touched the puppy. :yahoo:
