Every relationship has problems, i am well aware of that. Is just that this time was really apparent and it was negatively affecting his skating, and who knows since when they were like that, some said that after World's, if it was like that then my comment still stands: I hope they never have to do that again, in the sense of letting it go unresolved for so long, and IIRC we agreed that it was probably something cultural if it was the case, so that's why i said that i hope they both understood that if this is going to keep on going and want good results, they must be completely honest and speak what it's on their minds.

Folks, we're less than a 100 posts off the 50.000 post mark!![]()

I have to say I get horribly tired meeting crowds of people I've nothing to do with. Crowds of people I know is ok-ish, if it doesn't last long. Otherwise, give me a book.![]()
And if you add the food factor to that - the need to be choosy and picky, because you can't consume any thing - things get worse.
. It has to do something with the fact I used to be ill all the time in my childhood, so I had to get by myself. I understand Brian's sentiments because of that; Yuzuru's whole life has been about skating so he doesn't have time for other things... Anyway, introverts of the world, unite!
I totally get all the people in this thread - I am an introvert myself and pretty embarrasing at every social situation. Maybe that's why I like Shoma that much. Sorry, I love weird humor if you get this...
Omg 14 hours ahead of me. Almost 4 hours for SP? May I ask how many participants are there? Assuming he's in the last group I want to wake up only for the final flight?
30 for the SP, it gets cut down by 6 for the FS, so 24.
The last group starts around 20:30, a tad later but thereabout should be safe enough, providing he's in it but we'll know in advance.
The draw for Nationals is usually super random right? Just like worlds? If I am not wrong, last year for the SP, Yuzuru's was live but I don't remember how the FS was. 24 people would take about 4 hours per discipline, so 8 for men and ladies. I don't expect them to air everything live, I think.

Well, this season in particular he was injured but wanted to introduced new jumps at both of his SP and LP + adding number of quads in his LP. I don't know about worlds, that is just pure speculation. But all that Yuzuru mentioned openly was that they are completely in disagreement with training approach and how to approach the season. This is in agreement with what both Brian and Tracy has stated clearly in broadcast commentaries and interviews about how unhappy they were with the way Yuzuru is focusing on quads and jumps and neglect/sacrifice a bit of the skating. Looking at Yuzuru and how YOLO he is, I seriously doubt this will be the last disconnect/discourse they have. I am also pretty sure this is not their first (the 4S saga during oly season, the saga with adding 4S to the SP. remember?). He usually always gets his way though, and partially that is because he eventually proved to Brian and the TCC team that he can pull it off.![]()
Yeah, it's like 'Cats of the world, unite!'![]()
Come on, he's 22 just years old, let him be engrossed by what he's doing now and let all the other things crop up naturally in his path. There's time and season for everything. So far he's got his hands full what with his ambitions for another Olympic gold and his studies too.

Can we live in the newly created Planet Hanyu now

Am i imagining things or did Yuzu say at one point that he doesn't want his life to be just skating?
Well, I wouldn't be surprised, since who would ever want their life to be just skating? And the fact that he's doing university and studying something not really skating related shows he wants to do things outside of skating at some point.
Too bad i didn't catch everything he said in the program where he was with Shoma and Oda, when they asked what they would be doing in the future. He did said that probably not skating, later in life, but i didn't understand what he said u.uWell, I wouldn't be surprised, since who would ever want their life to be just skating? (No one wants him to retire anyway...)I thought he said he wanted to apply his studies to his skating though.
If you knew which country I'm from you'd get this.
Anyway, figure skating is a sport for the young, so one has to utilize all the time they have. And Yuzuru is certainly doing that! Although I'm sure he'd love to have another passion after retiring.(No one wants him to retire anyway...)
Edit: I feel like i am not expressing myself correctly, like yeah, no one wants their life to revolve around just one thing, and i wasn't trying to say "He should go out like a normal person!!!!" or anything, especially coming from me since i am struggling with both things right now. I feel like it sounded a bit rude and that wasn't my intention at all, maybe it has nothing to do with it but i was listening to a japanese music show while i've been replying to this thread while paying attention to my environment in case anyone talked to me which caused a bit of a language jam, so maybe my choice of words wasn't ideal... I apologize if anything of what i said before sounded rude/unrespectful!

Oh I thought he was saying that as one reason for the media...but he did say he couldn't see himself working as a coach/choreographer and wanted to do freelancing (but not sure for what)?
