I really don't think this is an 'accepted his fate' thing Depsite what some people might say - just look at the way Brian looks at Yuzu sometimes, how invested he is when Yuzu skates... he loves the boy. He cares about him so much.

I agree. Even though Brian says he doesn't want to get as emotionally involved with his skaters after Yuna, I kind of doubt he's kept that resolution with Yuzu and Javi. His reactions are too cute.
