^^
And if he does, he'll be the first man in the history to win everything in Juniors and then in Seniors. This was only achieved previously by Yuna and Virtue/Moir. That'd be a nice group there

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that Plushenko actually did it (well, not 4CC, but Europeans)..

Edit: I was too slow.. haha

^^ That's right, that's Plushy's missing one.

Didn't Plush do that too? And maybe Yagudin if you count out Nationals LOL

Nope. No JGPF, which counts, he only has the Junior Worlds. It's just those three, what a group he'd be joining ah?

But during his days there was no junior grand prix final. He already went senior when the first JGPF was held. That was like saying Yuna never won goodwill games. And that Yuzuru will never win goodwill games too. Cause it was no longer held. So technically he had won everything that can be won.

JGPFs count though both Plush and Yagudin were already in the senior field when JGPF was first introduced in the 97/98 season.

As sallycinnamon said, yes, he missed it because he had already switched to seniors by that one year. He shouldn't have rushed that much :p I guess you could qualify it by current competitions then, with JGPF and JWCh and then GPF, CC, WCh and OGM in the Seniors. I'll rephrase the other post.

In any case, Plushenko or not, I am more than happy for Yuzuru to join Yuna and V/M.

Ahhh I see. There is also Maxim Trankov then. Though he won junior worlds and jgpf not with Tatiana.

Yeah, it's why I personally don't count him, he was with Maria so not the same pair that achieved it all. Still awesome though :agree2: and it would be cool to have a pairs representative.

Speaking of which, Yuna and Plush won bronze on their first WC too. hopefully he will not be robbed off of second OGM like these two :slink:

Now you reminded me Plushy got a silver in Helsinki after that so hopefully they part ways there! And yeah, definitely on the other matter too. I'm hoping that as an international super star they simply won't dare. Skating can't survive another scandal and it would be a massive one. :hopelessness:

Hopefully! (keeping my toes and fingers crossed) :hap10:
I wonder when he will return to Toronto to train. If he does attend the ceremony, the second week of January then? I assume he is still sick and unwell now, cause when the news of his withdrawal broke out, it is said he still has high fever :( This will be his first time in Korea, no?

Yes, same, same. I'll even braid my hair and be a little cow girl if needed

I think I saw Brian wanted Javi back on the 1st? But yes, considering the flu it might be he'll postpone his, to recover fully. That really did not sound like a mild case if something like six days later the high fever was still present :( He can still start training lightly on his own back in Japan to slowly get back into shape.
Yup, I think so!

Excited that it's confirmed for Yuzuru to compete at 4CC and Worlds! :yay: Hope he rests a ton during these weeks from catching the flu and have a full recovery soon!

It's always nice to have one more competition before Worlds to watch him skate, this way there'll be less waiting during this mini-off season as the new year comes in. Merry Christmas everyone!

That's because euro is 2 weeks earlier than 4CC I think. And considering he has serious problem with his SP (and it has been two season straight without a clean SP for that program) I assume they need more time to change something. Actually Yuzuru might need to change timing of his 4S combo too but mid jan to mid Feb is also about a month so it should be enough? I remembered Tracy said she prefers her student to train with her at least 5 weeks before competition though.

But there was no scandal, just people who can't deal with the fact that their favorite didn't won :confused2:

Anyway, whatever happens, the most important is, Yuzuru can be happy with his performance. Better to lose with a great performance than to win with a bad one. Imagine, someone would accuse him of "robbery" :rolleye:

I completely forgot about the Euros :palmf: Yes, true then, the timing fits.
Oh you think he might change it? You're being awfully optimistic! A month should be enough and I think they probably want to work on the choreo a bit more too. I think he needs to figure out the Ina Bauer fully too so that we don't have any pops there.

George Michael died. I am bummed :(

Change the layout? Of course not lol. Just maybe he can change the timing of going in into the jump, probably play a bit on the steps or entry going into the 4S combo because clearly the one he has now did not work out. He changed the timing of steps before his 3lz entry too at GPF so that he had time to hold his ina bauer a bit longer, though it actually gives him trouble (change it back Yuzu lol).
That is so sad and shocking! Rest in peace george :sad21:

It's no surprise Brian wants Javi to go back as soon as possible. His SP worked very well last season but even at his best competition, Euros, there was a mistake (a step-out in the combo). And this season this program just doesn't seem to be well-trained.
Btw Euros is 3 weeks apart from 4CC.
So it would make sense if Yuzuru returned a bit later in January, at least later than Javier.

Shocking news, really. On Christmas Day...

Ah all right. For a second there I was wondering if the Christmas wine, er spirit, was influencing you there  I think that pause totally throws him off so he's going to have to change something all right but I am not sure how to be honest, if he does pause there?
And I know! Put that IB back Yuzuru, it's not worth it, no matter how pretty. Watch him not do that either!

Yes, it should work out, he should have just enough time overall plus I'm sure he'll start on his own in Japan anyway.
And it is, the timing and he was just 53...

Yeah, i"m sure he'll be in Toronto much earlier than last year to get ready for 4CC. There are things that need tweaking ( I almost wrote twerking, LOL) between now and then.

and i cannot believe all the celebs being taken this year....
