He might feel obligated to defend his OGM but I think his drive is to go to pyeongyang2018 is much more stronger than his obligation![]()

That's right
- interview at 12yo (?) to win gold at Sochi (there is also another gif set that i could not find now)
- interview at 15yo where his goal to make it to Sochi and gold at Pyeongchang
That is a great article showing his winning mentality as a skater, athlete and a person.
"For his own growth, for figure skating as a sport, his desire/greed never fades, and this is his true strength as a skater. And it can also be said that this is why he makes us feel that for him there are infinite possibilities."
This is a man who set his goals and go all out to achieve them. He can achieve anything he sets his mind to.

Yuna will award medals for 4CC medalists.![]()

If it happens...well I'd either die of excitement during the competition or if not then I'll be speechless to see Yuna and Yuzuru together!:luv17:

Yuna and Yuzuru appreciation post
This is so cute
The last one

I hope, if yuna is presenting medals, that she looks happier while doing so. You cannot help but notice in those photos with yuzu that she does not look happy there, a direct contrast to his sunny self. Only 3 weeks or so now!!!
It's not her fault!I hope, if yuna is presenting medals, that she looks happier while doing so. You cannot help but notice in those photos with yuzu that she does not look happy there, a direct contrast to his sunny self. Only 3 weeks or so now!!!
I know yuna has a resting "unhappy" face, ( I have one too, lol, and people always tell me to smile..).... but if he smiled at me I would sure be smiling back!!! I guess what I want to see is her smiling when she hands out medals, lol!
I remember she said her type was a "manly-looking guy." I can dream, though.

I know, just annoying lol! Those pictures with Yuna and Javier are too adorable. If it was Yuzuru then I'd already have fraimed it by now. This was the only time they met a competition, except for Worlds'13... I don't know what Yuzu thought there, because she was his idol when he was in his junior yearsI've fangirled over all of these, but then when you realize that Yuna and Javi actually danced together like this these Yuzu/Yuna pictures are terribly unsatisfying [emoji23]
I watched Korean nats too and noticed, her, um, lack of outward enthusiasm!

she was his idol when he was in his junior years![]()
wait really?!?!! :eeking: I've never heard him mention her even when he's asked about his favorite skaters (Weir, Plushy, etc.)
Cheery not really emotional yes. She jumped out of her skin after receiving the monstrous SP world record score at Worlds 2009, she was that overjoyed (one of my fav k&c reactions ever). She cried during the national anthem at the same event. She also cried on the Oly podium. She cried A LOT on the podium at Worlds 2011, and finally she cried backstage in Sochi too. She can be very emotional in one moments, and also unimpressed in the other. There weren't very many moments in Yuna's skating career where she was overly emotional or cheery, either. She looked emotional after Vancouver FS (it mostly looked like a huge unloading of pressure) and looked happy after seeing her scores but showed little emotion after the SP. She barely smiled after winning Worlds 2009 and looked utterly bored after Worlds 2013 [emoji23]
Shizuka was the "cool beauty" but Yuna was basically an ice queen![]()
His skating idol is plushenko and weir. But he mentioned his admiration towards many skaters, like takahashi, mao, kwan etc for example. About Yuna, the one time I remember he mentioned her was during GPF 2009 when he was asked about what he was most excited about there and he (and kanako) said seeing KYN performance. The other time is David Wilson mentioning this (not Yuzu himself) during one of his interview, that Yuzu crave for that domination that Yuna has circa 2006-2010 etc. But I don't think she is like, his "idol" in a sense like Plush and weir are.
especially when you take into account how they are loved not only in their country but the world.Oh that's so sweet :luv17: There are a few things in Yuzu's skating that remind me of Yuna, particularly the spread eagle into the axel, and the fact that they are known for being one of the first to combine musicality and tech at the current level. But I think Yuzu is probably the closest thing to Yuna circa 2006-2010 that we have nowespecially when you take into account how they are loved not only in their country but the world.
To be frank, Yuzuru is in that "no one can beat me when I am clean" position only recently, after he won NHK 2015 and broke WR there. Before that, I am not sure judges would put a clean Yuzu ahead of clean Patrick (see TEB 2013 SP for example, or even the 2015 SC but it is in Canada so maybe it didn't count lol). But yes to the loved by the world part. Wherever he skates people root and cheer for him
