Aren't Korean and Japanese phonetics quite close? I always think, when watching Korean TV, that I can almost understand what they are saying. the 'sound' profile seems very similar to Japanese
 
Yuzuru in another korean tv news 1 (this one has the part where he ask the reporter "what is thank you for your support" in korean"

Korean and Japanese are both from the Altaic language family, so maybe that's why they sound similar?
On the other hand, my Korean friend is trying to learn Japanese, and she's having a really hard time pronouncing some of the words. Not sure if that's just her though :scratch2:
Either way, kudos to Yuzu for trying! If it was me, I'd probably be too embarrassed to speak in a different language on TV

I didn't find it; I only saw vids posted by Chinese fans but I dont know how to get the share link:confused:That's how I remembered about his run-through: 4lo, 4S(really pretty), stsq(minor changes I guess, need to double check), 3F, 4S3T(!!!), 3A(huge)2T(fall), and the vid stopped there

Well that was interesting :laugh: He totally wiped out there so no wonder he was off on the 2T.

But the 4S-3T looks very nice and there're changes all right but we'll know more when he goes through the whole thing. I think they got rid of the full stop he had prior to the combo.

Yes, the 4Lo seems the same trouble he had before, but the 4T was downright surprising, I don't remember the last time he was so off for that. Yes, something happened to the blade there, probably a hole and I think he was still a tad off due to the 4T issue so down he went.

That's nice to hear. Hopefully the saved energy can help improve the success rate of his jumps in the 2nd half :hap10:
