It's fine, we get it, and we're all anxious for him because we all want the best for him.
But hey, don't you dare give up. Never give up. You lose when you give up and only then. There is free to come and come on, Yuzuru Hanyu! Yuzuru Hanyu! He may yet walk out with what you wish for him. Give him a chance. And even if he doesn't, fighting and giving his best may be that positive mentality. I understand what you mean but competition ending on a high note, even if not an overall win, is still a good thing. Think of it that way. So I don't want to hear any giving up stories. Don't let fear rule you. Fear is the killer of the mind. If he doesn't give up, then we sure as hell don't because we're the fans. Come on Meoima! I survived Boston, it's your turn now. Get out of that deep hole and lets cheer.

Well, if we try to see the glass half full he did earn a silver at GPF 2012 with two rather meh skates and won the Olympics in the same rink after all, with a meh FS but anyway a win is a win.
I'm just saying that different factors come to play. But, yes, we all want good memories after all.

Yuzu drew 2nd of the last flight at Japanese Nationals 2013 and won the SP. He looked a little stiff but landed everything and scored over 100. Skating 2nd seems to be difficult for him (because he said so,) but when he has enough confidence with all the jumps included in the program he can nail it, even under pressure. All he has to do is to tame newer jump and that’s what he has been doing all through his career.
I wonder if this is another way of enjoying sports for some people… though I can’t join you because my language skill is not enough for long discussions and I don’t have much energy to waste worrying about the result in advance.
I just wish him good luck on the FS. Though Yuzu was very angry with himself, he was calm and taking things positively. So I’m going to take things positively too.

I saw some are experiencing the five stages of grief here :
(denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance).
At the point when you accept that he is not perfect and that he could lose to anyone and not win what he wants to win, I think it will be easier to watch him regardless of his result. I saw some are angry and some are depressed. But it is a step my friends.

I'd call that a great victory! I might have gone up even higher.That 4Lo did get 2.2+ GOE, so I call that a small victory.
Speaking of his progress, I can just imagine the anguish if his 4Lo introduction went like his 4S introduction in 2012-13, almost two seasons with no clean 4S except once at the beginning of the season a Senior B?!?! 
Anything worth having is worth fighting for, and this great 4Lo was worth it I was actually curious about Judge 7 who gave a stunning spread eagle-4Lo-spread eagle only a +1 and didn't give +3 to the 3A... And of course it was the Canadian judge
Although to be fair, she was really harsh on Patrick as well.

I am sure he will fight for the gold, the only one who won't give up here is him. If he did, it wouldn't be the Yuzuru we know and love...

He doesn't have the cool head but that makes him as he is. People love him as he is. It can't be help.

Maybe, but I think he will put the pressure on himself regardless. He knows this is his event and that will be a whole new beast to deal with that we won't really see until he is on olympic ice and doing his thing.

No problem, I'd aim at just below 4000 in the next few days.
Yeah, Yuzu generates more conversation when he stumbles than when he skates hell out of everyone else.
