No problem, I'd aim at just below 4000 in the next few days.
Yeah, Yuzu generates more conversation when he stumbles than when he skates hell out of everyone else.

And when Nathan skates well (like during US Nationals, when Yuzu didn't even skate!)

How about 5000 pages before Worlds? just kidding

So officially, we have survived The Great Crisis of 2017 4CC I think? Seriously anything that happens post FS will be a doddle compared to this.

It may do him well to not be the clear favorite going into Worlds/Olympics anyway.

Eh, there are pros and cons to everything and some things like his home country pressure will happen regardless.

But lets at least get through this free and then the Worlds, we have the whole summer to bang about this.

Yuzu had a rather poor PW in sochi in 2012 in that test-event, and he won the olympic and skated two clean PW there, so I'd say it's making nonsense to say his skate today in Pyeonchang would do anything to him in the future Olympic game.

Is this surviving ? Although it's true, i always find the SP more anxiety inducing than the FS (Yes, even with the Combo of Doom).
God, don't remind me that we will have a Yuzu-less summer. Eurovision is just one day but will keep me looking forward to anything after World's... After that...

And it's funny thinking he was skating the same programme. :)

In fact, I'd prefer summer to be Yuzu-less - if he didn't do shows and stuff, but practised quietly. I'll happily go through another drought.

And with this, I'll bow out for tonight - a very busy day tomorrow. Will be back to knuckle-biting on Sunday - though hopefully everything will be over by the time I'm up.

I am still disappointed at him as I have said my reasons. But I give up as something can't be fixed. I thought he could fix his mental gig. But if it can't be, then so be it. I had my hope too high.

He doesn't have the cool head but that makes him as he is. People love him as he is. It can't be help.

Like I said, mate. It's a step
Sometimes there are things that are beyond control and maybe this is just one of many for him. Maybe he will fix it one day maybe he won't.
Mental thing is a bit fickle to fix. Chan went to see sport psychologist but so far I have yet to see it working for him. While it work wonders for Yagudin after that very depressing consecutive loss at the 2000/2001 season. Even so, he still can't beat Plush at Nats (lol). If the human mind is as simple as it is to be understood, life will be easier, but unfortunately it is not the case ;)

All his victory was based on his failure (I would actually put it as "experience" instead) in the past. It is always funny to say he is repeatedly failing something.

Remember what he said your effort could lie to you but it will never be in vain. I have my blief in him. That's it. AND remember he's got it all: GPF champion *4, world champion, olympic champion, only not a two-time olympic champion yet.

He's missing 4CC title. That's the only he hasn't got under his belt.

Exactly, coz when he skates well, we have no words to say (like Brain at 15 NHK)

Finally I was able to watch Yuzu's SP with Hungarian Eurosport commentary. One of the commentators is a former ISU judge, who always says very interesting things about technique and is usually fair but really critical. She's not a Yuzuru uber at all but I respect her opinion whatever she has to say about him.
She praised Yuzu's PCS and said that his short program is his best program of the best 3-4 years, including his LPs too and that it's most likely that this SP will remain his program for the next season as well (I'm not sure about this). She also said that he's got impossible entries into his jumps, including his 3A but that's back counter is just so usual for him that we're already used to see it.
And that he rarely misses his combo (in his short), so sometimes...it can happen. :)

I like her honest words and nice commentary on Yuzuru's program and presentation today.

I came home from work and I saw like twenty more pages and I was like... what happened? Did Yuzu get injured again?:palmf: But well, I read all the conversations and I imagined the thread like this http://giphy.com/gifs/community-fire-shocked-nLhdSinRtaL2E

Now the serious part. I'll always support Yuzuru, no matter what. Expecting him to win every competition is not realistic, as an ex-skater myself,I know the pressure you have to deal with and I think it's not fair to him if the fans add more.
The SP wasn't that bad, he is only three points behind Shoma, with a 2-3 combination while Nathan and Shoma had two quads. And if he had got the all the levels, the difference would have been even less .
At this point I'm thankful to him that he continues skating and bringing me a smile when I feel down. I can't ask him more.

4CC is a minor one, comparing to OG WC and GPF. But of course I want him to take this gold:)

4CC is equal rank with Europeans, if not in prestige. Depending on the tide, either could be more meaningful (4CC > Euro for men, Euro > 4CC for women this season)... GPF is the entire first half of the season, but you'll notice in introductions say at ice shows, they never mention "GPF Winner"

In my opinion he just needs to do one very difficult thing, Find Himself!

Thanks for the sharing! LGC done to perfection takes so much adrenaline, given SP is back to back with LP during Olympics, I'm not sure LGC makes the most sense. But of course, I defer to Yuzu and team's own judgment.

Does anyone have the Italian commentary :D

Yuzu thinks that PW was not that bad. He commented in a pre-4CC-SP interview that having skated 2 so-so programs in Sochi GPF became his confidence going into Sochi OWG. At Sochi GPF he even became sick after FS, but the competition didn’t leave bad impression in him. I suspect that no matter what will happen in this competition, he will convert it to his advantage.

Why will there be a yuzu less summer? No shows? I, for one, hope he ninja's himself but if he is healthy he will do shows?

I'm going to do myself a favor and not read the 4cc board anymore. It's too depressing to see how they are practically pushing Yuzu because "Nathan has better quads"
In my heart he will be forever the founder of the 300 club, and no one can take that away from him :sad21:

And they never mention anything 4CC in the ice show (only if this is the only title you got) as well.
4CC has a rather short history comparing w/ EC, and you may look at the people attending it every year (except for this test event for olympics), not all top athletes in four continents will attend 4cc, but top athletes will definitely go for EC. That tells the difference.
And based on ISU ranking and points, GPF got the entire 1200 by itself, while 4cc will be covered once you have the worlds pts.

I would put GPF >>> 4CC.
