I don't think Hanyu's 4S has really reached that point. I don't think he's the type to let it, either.

Anyways, I hope on Sunday he skates as well as he can so he won't have any regrets afterwards

I did, personality wise maybe, but if it about appearance not really, Yuzu is than Park Bogum(the prince) he more resembles the young G Dragon (the leader of Big Bang, korean boy group)

Eh, I don't see a particularly striking resemblance between the two

As usual, he is always like this. Does well in the first practice. Mess the SP. Then mess the LP practice. Then does so so LP. It's his pattern in most competition.

Okay, so he probably created some kind of mental block on the 4S after yesterday because he definitely landed the 4S+3T in a previous FS runthrough. Any word on jumps outside of the runthrough?

He hasn't failed any salchow combo till yesterday's sp, must be mental block and nervousness I agree.

At this point I think he could go for a 4Lo+3T and have better luck. 4S is probably pouting at the attention the 4Lo brother is getting.

He was talking very quickly there, that means obviously he is in the very "kuyashii" state.
I don't know why but I felt a bit relieved to see it. I'm not used to see calm Yuzu,
and I cannot help feeling Yuzu's condition is not so good as he insists...

I would translate “fugainai” the same. We use the word especially when someone fall short of our expectation, or someone could not show his/her strength when he/she really need to. I was also relieved to hear this comment. This comment reminded me of his comment at after-SP press conference of Worlds 2014 (“I can’t forgive myself sitting in this place = 3rd place”) and what happened after that. Though he would take more calm, tactful approach toward FS than he did in 2014 considering his condition…

I can't believe we now reach the era when got 97 pts in SP is considered not so good

at this stage I think he actualy should go for 4lo +2x 4T , if clean he would still be able to score 215-219

Has Yuzuru ever skated well in morning practice? It's 7 AM in the morning. Did I say he will mess LP in competition?

I know that he has been training in the morning recently but i don't know for how long. So I won't hold my breath that he will do well in morning practice. If that's the usual Yuzuru then morning practice won't be stellar. But we shall see how he will do in competition.

As you said, his other jumps look pretty good. His speed and flexibility were there. He looks physically OK. Maybe we should just send dekiru-dekiru-dekiru vibe for his Salcow.
