Now THAT was a real fight back. The 4S abandoned him again, yet he changed his program and continued on. So proud of that. He didn't win, but this was not a set back. This long program was a victory for him (and he won this portion). I think I almost prefer watching him think on the fly and go for it, lol. He does better when he is the hunter, rather than the hunted.

My only concern is that nasty thing called PCS and how they go up so quickly for some people when they shouldn't..... Make no mistake, Nathan is a huge challenge now for World's. He had all these tiny errors, the first half of his program is totally loaded with jumps and little else, but still scored very well. Imagine a clean skate and what they will give him then...

Eh ... They can say what they want. His skating will do the talk for him. He won the FS with 3 quads and 2 Axels. And Nathan must do all the 5 quad to beat a Yuzu.
I have big hopes for WC.

Come back to say this. I was right that he won the LP. People have a pattern. Skate Canada and 4CC are never meant for Yuzuru. It's okay.

He won silver at GPF Sochi (test event) because he popped the Quad Sal and won Olympic there.
He won silver here at 4CC arena (also test event) also because he popped the Quad Sal, he will win Olympic there.

You can get lucky at one place one time. Yuzuru has saved his luck for one year later. The result of 4CC today somehow tells me that he will get that second Olympic gold.

PS: I am happy with his skate today. But I am still mad and disappointed at him about the 2nd skating order. He has to overcome it.

I don't care that he got the second place. He fight like the champion he is, and the best part, is to see that beautiful smile at the kiss and cry. CONGRATS YUZU!!!

Poor Yuzu. He has every gold medal but this one He looked so disappointed in green room that I wanted to hug him so badly.

I hope he will solve his 4S combination problem soon because it definitely costed him gold medal

This was probably the last chance to win 4cc title, but I dont give a damn. Yuzu again showed me with real steel nerves which makes me respect him more than ever. It's okay to have a little pity in your life as you deserve a much better present!

Actually i dont THINK he was that disappointed. I doubt he doesn't know that Nathan's very consistent with his quads, and he looked satisfied with what he did. I'm calm because he was happy, he even celebrated

I was nervous like hell when Yuzu's music started. But strangely, I became calmer as his routine progressed, especially before 3F. I told myself to be brave and believe in him no matter what even when he missed 4S+3T. But my jaw dropped when he tacked that 3A at the end! I can't believe it! For real?

I think losing here will be good for him. He will definitely do better at World

Fantastic skate by Yuzuru, quick on his feet, fought till the end.
I really want to try and listen later exactly what he was explaining to Brian.

Also an excellent lesson for the future and clear indication PCS has gone to the dumps and he has very little there now, at Worlds it will be less.

I hope he has a great training period after a short rest, he earned it with this beauty of a skate. I hope he's proud as he should be.

it was because of 4s combo, but propably he has plans for 5 quad program if he was able to do it so late in program

Congrats to Yuzu on ending 4CC with a bang. Not the result he wanted but I am sure he is half-way happy with his FS performance and losing to Nathan on the SP but not the FS is hopefully gonna lit a fire under him. So I am wishing him all the best for Worlds.
