Congratulations to Yuzuru for that amazing free skate! Never say die spirit was on full display with that "emergency quad" and last minute triple axel. What a competitor he is!

I am glad that Nathan has arrived with those jumps, because now Yuzu has a rival that is not his friend/training mate etc... While Nathan is probably a nice guy, he and Yuzu have no connection, so it is easier to see him as a rival. I am not saying Javi is not a big rival, but Nathan is definitely not on Yuzu's side in any way, while Javi has been known to help him when stressed. I doubt yuzu wants to eat javi for dinner, but he might want to do that to the young up and comer. Psychology is a big deal. World's is now more interesting.

I am glad too because I think Nathan is the kind of rival (quads galore and cool competitive head) that will push Yuzuru to further evolve so we may see Yuzuru's best yet, even better than what he showed us at 2015 NHK and GPF.

So onward and upwards for Yuzuru (and us his fans). There's bigger game afoot (Worlds and Olympics) so let's continue supporting Yuzuru and each other.

God please, someone make me go out of the 4cc board, i swear it's like peeling a band-aid off... I hate HATE seeing people saying that things are changing and Yuzus time is over.
I will never EVER accept that until he retires. Ever.

I love his EX. It isn't just because it sounds cute that i call him my baby Swan. I think we will have a very emotional EX here! I am so looking forward to it.

And i don't think i've ever wanted to shout so loud how much i love and admire him as now. No amount of strange PCS score will make me love him less.

I really know of your feelings. I’ve got a lot of sigh with Nathan’s PCS. All the transitions, difficult entries… All yuzu’s effort say nothing before some big kind of big power. But I must remember that his ideal skate which he keeps aiming for. It’s seamless and even jumps are melted totally and memorable performances remaining forever. The marriage of artistry and techniques at high level. Yes, seeing the result, his efforts don’t pay off with scoring though… It’s so frustrating to me. At the same time, I think Yuzu is a performer and the selected one who is entitled to show his expression to audience (not everyone can reach that level.) What’s important is how many and how much people are moved by his performance. In spite of disappointing scoring, I believe that things are going well towards Pheoncyong, although I have no reasons, but it’s my gut feelings.

I'm confused. What happened?

Yuzuru didn't do biellmann in his free so some users are speculating if there might be something wrong with his back plus he looked a bit stiff during the skate so we are looking to see if he does it in gala otherwise it might be weird

His EX hasn't happened yet. I'm wondering if the Biellmann will show up. It's gone from his LP, plus his upper body movements were a little stiffer than usual, and the knee slide in SP wasn't done with the lean back he usually does. It looks like he might be nursing something - but I'm just speculating.

Darling don't let those clueless posters ruin the day. If they really think so, good for them coz whatsoever says there does not change anything.

4CC comp is all said and done, but I just want a Yuzu-Yuna pic  (haha one can dream, maybe in the banquet? :luv17: hahaha)

I'm pretty sure the ISU won't ever want that to happen either. To be honest, once Yuzu retires it's gonna be a huge loss, not only because he is a legend, but also because of his popularity. Like I know Shoma and even Nathan now are gaining fans but nothing was better for the sport than Yuzu's international pull. Even though YOI fans came because of the anime, most stayed for Yuzu ;)
