Nope, it was during the skate. You can't see it clearly but it was quite clear he was shocked+elated+amazed+surprised etc. Probably in his head he went "omg what just happened --> omg did he just quad --> omg he landed it --> omg that was crazy --> but that was amazing, omg --> clap furiously in reflex"

Also, interesting about how he mentioned how he felt his knee is too stiff during FS. I felt that too, especially with the hard landing on his quads. I am actually glad he dropped the biellmann. It is not really my favorite and the strain it puts on his back is really not worth it. I hope it is a sign of him being more reasonable rather than his being less than in top form. If he is indeed more reasonable maybe he can ditch 4-3 and do 4-2 and 3A3T instead, as an actual planned layout (lol).

I have to laugh at the bold. What we've come to :laugh: but I genuinely don't know what could come after //. Yes on the first three but after it's la la la la la in my brain since yesterday. They may not want to do the 2x4T though due to the injury?

I don't think training the 4A is wise at all, at least no seriously. I think he's going to try it, in a harness, which I think is ok, let him get it out but I do think it's a serious desire he has to do it. It's been with him too long and now with Nathan, he feels challenged. So I think the 4Lz will be the bridge and it's just going to slot in there perfectly and quench this desire he has for rising up to the challenge. Or lets hope :roll9:
I think 4Lz will be a thing of beauty while for the 4A I have absolutely no concept in my head. It just escapes me.

I don't mind if he drops the Biellmann either; the less stress on his body now, the better. The hard landings were quite noticable, that's not the usual Yuzuru, but overall the way he seems to be handling himself is so very promising, knock on wood.
I think you're pushing a tad too far with the 4-3 :laugh: IMO if he does anything with it, he'll switch out 4S-3T for a different 4S combo, like the 3S-1Lo-4S or perhaps the 4Lo-3T even.
 
I woke up, came to work promising to myself that I would check the forum only as a break whenever I had finalized any of the plots I'm working on. So, I'm at page 3621 now and noticing that most of you couldn't resist the temptation of checking the 4CC page and got hurt there. Told you!!!!

I'm still so happy but I have to catch up with you guys, I'm 11 pages behind.

Honestly, I think anything but a 4S3T would perhaps be a better alternative for him. At this point I am more convinced it is just in his head. Previously we have seen him struggling landing them even in practice. Now he seems to finally manage to land them in practice more but it still threw him off. Doing a fresh jump would maybe make him psyche himself less.
His lisfranc is the only reason I think of when I think about why he insist on doing that. But now that he landed 2 4Ts in the second half even without practicing it + it work out well for him, I would think they probably might consider it. There are reports about his replacing 3Lz as his last jump with a 4S or 4T right for practice? So I think it is not like he has not been doing it already. ;)
I don't know about 4Lo3T. I will be honest I don't trust his 4Lo yet. He still need to adjust himself before doing 4Lo (with a 1Lo, 3Lo) and I don't think it is yet a natural jump for him. But maybe next season things are different. He lost 2 months of training time, so who knows what could have happened had he had a full summer. I hope he will not do too much ice shows next summer too. :)
 
Am I the only one who thinks that Yuzu is absolutely capable of doing 4A? He just did 3A like nobody's business at the end of a very demanding program with preparation steps for 3Lz and there was also a clip he did 3A from literally standing still. Sport is all about surpassing your previous limits and I'm really looking forward to meet the newborn quadxel baby (^O^)
But well not at pyeongchang please ...
 
I remember that someone here posted a fancam where fans screamed to support Yuzuru after he had skated his SP. But he "shhh-ed" at them cause Shoma was skating next. I tried to find it but couldn't. Could somebody post it again please? :(
 
If we look at the protocol, Canadian judge actually was on Yuzuru's side lol. They score Yuzuru much better than others. You know something too bad when even the Canadians are on Yuzuru's side. :laugh2:

I loved watching those two in the K&C--their hug after the scores came up was so sweet! :luv17:

Whatever problems they had appear to have been resolved and they seem to be very close again. Very, very happy for both of them.

Well, US judges were extremely biased at this competition, not only at the men's event but in ice dance as well (where the US judge shamelessly placed Virtue/Moir on the 4th place, guess what, behind all three American ice dance teams. :angry1:)
Sorry for the off-topic, I won't mention the judging anymore. I really should get used to the fact that in this sport big feds can do anything they want, because there are no consequences at all.
